  1. hey all. on my dash there is an explanation mark indication light....i think it might be the hand brake light. :s it stays on all the time now, it use to come on every now and then. i thought it might be a indication that my rear pads are going :s if my car is smart enough to do that. (my rear pads are almost gone though) might even be the switch in the hand brake. anyone with a similar problem?

    im having issues with my rb25

    it has a rough idle, and when it is boosting has a sudden very violent power cut, with a very loud thud sound coming from the passenger side. but only for a brief second and keeps revving most times.

    so far i have checked the following

    its running 0.8mm spark plug gap

    splitfire coils, have check look fine

    new ignitor

    AFM checked with know working one

    and has a new fuel pump (tomei drop in)

    checked cat and tested with decat

    car has a power fc

    voltages, knock, etc all look fine to

    not sure what to check next?

    boost leak? maybe? :cool:

  3. hey all. Did my manual conversion the other day, works great took it for a drive and everything seemed to be fine. The next day driving to work, my power steering failed with the hicas light showing, speedo stoped working. and the engine started to pop and miss at idle...but only misses every couple of seconds, also it idles at 1000rpm now. other then that it drives fine.

    Iv read up and that if you dont have a speedo the hicas doesnt know what speed your traveling at and doesnt know what digresses to turn and therefor doesnt work and you lose power steering????? my power steering works every now and then. alomost crashed a couple of time when turning a corner while the steering is really hard and then goes really soft. checked the fluid and its full.

    At idle it misses, is that casued by too much fuel from the nuetral switch not being connected (apprently it saves on fuel at idle) ????? Some people say DONT CONNECT THE NEUTRAL SWITCH IF YOUR USING A AUTO ECU. im using an auto ecu. can i connect it??? whats the problem with connecting it with an auto ecu?

    any ideas would be great

  4. hi all. doing a manual conversion and need help with the cross member. Iv tried searching for it but no one has explained how to actually do it or hasnt replyed on the forum. :nyaanyaa: someone would have to know how to do this or has done it. Pics would be great but if not, the best explaintion you can give me. I'v herd someone has used s13 cross memeber and others say they dont work. others say they just used a manual crossmember....iv got a manual one and it dont fit......I wish there was a forum on here with actual facts and not just tribble coming out of someones mouths. please, let me know.

  5. mate a decent 2.5" will support well over 400hp so really unless your goin mad on the car it will be enough BUT the difference in sound between 2.5 and 3 will be very little. It's all in the mufflers, someone above suggested a varex. this is a good idea. I have a 3" on my car and its very quiet (untill your on gate) with just a couple of well chosen mufflers. You'll probably be surprised how quiet a well made hi po exhaust can be. find an experienced and skilled exhaust guy, then just tell em what you want and go for gold :D

    3'' with gate would be your best option with a new born :P

    i would be very happy of my dad if i was getting dropped off to pre school in that. lol

    Going with Streatracer. 3" with good mufflers.

    Sorry, calming down. been trying to get the bush out all day....literally. Its not working. It may as well be welded in there.

    tried grease...failed...very much failed. all i got was grease in my eyes and hair.

    Tried wet paper...don't ask

    Tried puller...still isn't coming out...hasn't even moved.

    Can i just leave the auto one in there? hit it with a bigger hammer? stab it with a knife? shoot it with a gun?

    Anyone with a smart idea on how to handle this situation....let me know..please. because Im going crazy.

    Have you got the part number for rb20det, 1993, r32 skyline. Iv been tryying to find pressure plate bolts but cant seem to get them off Nissan because my car is auto and doesnt have these bolts so they cant find them :D Doing a manual conversion.

    but i need:

    Pressure Plate Bolts

    Airflow meter plug (if there is one?)

  8. hey all, i seem to have a really loud induction noise, it sounds exactly as if im using a pod, but im just using the stock airbox, i hate this because id rather hear the exhaust than the loud fsssshhhhhhhhhhhhh from induction, i dont have the snorkel on, but surely an airbox shouldnt sound this loud... could something be loose somewhere letting air escape? it seriously sounds like a pod (i had a pod on my last r33gtst thats how i know)

    wtf?

    any ideas?

    stock turbo

    check if the piping from the airbox to the turbo is still on the turbo. had an issue with mine where to come off and sound really loud. check all the clips are all on the airbox and the airflow meter bolts that bolt onto the airbox is still on.

  9. awesome work, looks wicked. lol mind stealing the measurement off you? how much did it cost all up? what size intercooler was it? lol. sorry for the questions. im looking at using the stock piping because i dont like the idea of cutting holes and then using 500meters of piping before it reaches the engine from the turbo.

  10. what stops? the car?!

    lol. sorry, when im driving along and it starts to run really rough, i pull over and stop. its idleing at about 1500 and then starts to bounce up and down between 1000, 1500. pop the bonnet while the car is still running like crap and play with the plug of the airflow meter and it runs fine again...for a little while.
