  1. 32 gtst are getting really hard to find a nice example. gettin REAL old now. r32 is my fav shape by far, but when its a 20 year old sports car, your really have to think twice about actually purchasing one now days.

i'd go a 33. there are so many to choose from its almost ridiculous. and prices have dropped big time

I agree mate. I love the shape only thing is there really old now so thats why i was thinking kind of more towards a R33

  2. Hi all,

Im Looking at purchasing a R32 or R33 gts-t. Ive previously own a 33 and had no problems, was a great car - regret selling it.

Im now back on the market for a skyline.

What one should i go for? id prefer either one, can anyone give me a bit of insight of some pros and cons over the two? if it helps pls vote then give a reason :)

    Thanks

  3. Thanks for all the responses guys much appreciated especially for someone like me who is still relatively new to the skyline scene. :worship:

Ive spoke to a mate of mine whos had experience with r33;s before he also has recommended the viptec - so thats what im going for.

Are there any other major noticeable power gains etc. you can feel after your car has an upgraded ecu + tune?

  4. did the quote come with a price break-down? ie, what the ecu component is worth?

you might find getting a Link G4 from NZ is cheaper than the aussie G4

but definitely have a look in the for sale section for second hand PFC's

Yes it did the vipec ecu was quoted at $1800.

how many hours is the car usually on the dyno for ive been quoted 6 hours? does that sound about right ive never had a tune before.

  5. Is that including the ViPEC and the fuel pump? If so, that's not a bad price. You might be able to go a bit cheaper if you sourced the parts from elsewhere. Or you could try to find a secondhand Power FC from somewhere, but I've always preferred to use whatever ECU my tuner recommends.

You will notice a difference though, it's definitely worth it.

Yeah mate that price is every thing fuel pump, ecu, tune & installation.

But before i shell out 3.5k i just wanted to know will the power be noticeable enough to justify the price/ make me a happy man haha

  6. Hi all,

Ive been searching for more power from my r33 with basic mods such as 3” exhaust, fmic, pod etc. My Tuner has recommended the ViPEC ECU with a tune plus the needed upgrade of a new fuel pump which is old and warn. Plus a boost increase from 0.7bar – 0.9bar.

The quote was for around 3.5k I just want more power out of my car, I know im not going to go get bigger injectors or a bigger turbo is this really worth it – will I notice? Is it reliable? What kind of power will I expect (kw/HP)?

  7. Hi Guys,

I have a 96 R33 gts-t and basically I am after a more power out of my car,

    Current mods are:

FMIC, Pod filter, 3” exhaust, greedy boost controller (0.8bar)

One option is to upgrade the fuel pump and install a SAFC II and to up the boost to 9.5bar MAX on is this the best option to go for?

Also how much expected power increase would I see (Kilowatts/HP)

    Cheers!

  8. Depends entirely on offsets/width.

As a rough guide, 18x9.5 +12 go for around 3k.

My price range is around $1000-$1500 im looking for a rim that looks similar that is in price range(probably second hand has i doubt id find anything that reflects my price range).

    Cheers!

  9. Thanks mate,

Do you have a rough idea of what the TE37 go for second these days ive seen a few go for 2k second hand?

the same qution for the Varrstoen ES 2.2.2? as look like a good option. i would be looing at getting the Varrstoen ES 2.2.2 second hand as im on a bit of budget and all.

  10. Hi All,

Im relativity new at looking into purchasing rims i was chasing after second hand 18" Black TE37 rims and what type of prices id looking at

    post-75167-0-53207200-1303479495_thumb.jpg

Or is there an alternative such as a cheaper copy version of the 18" TE37???

or some that look similar that are around $500-1$500

    Any help would be great!

    Cheers!
