  1. I'm selling my HR31 GTS-X because I have just been offered a job in UAE and I'm moving there soon. Specs are like this,

    - HR31 GTS-X (ABS, HICAS, LSD, Manual),

    - R32 RB20DET ECCS, (42,000 kms)

    - 1200lb, 5 puck clutch,

    - RB25 hi-flow turbo (steel compressor and impellor),

    - 3.5" exhaust from turbo all the way through, 4" tip,

    - big FMIC (approx 600mm x 400mm x 80mm) with 4 inch piping and adj BOV,

    - 550cc inj, Microtech LTX-8 with 4 line handset, laptop dongle and software,

    - HKS EVC and TT Type 1,

    - New Bosch 040 pump, genuine 200rwkw @ 18psi,

    - Reco ABS module, power steering rack and pump,

    - All Pedders Sports Rider suspension with swaybars, poly bushes and Whiteline strutbrace,

    - 4x30w 6 stacker with 220w 6x9s and remote,

    - fully engineered, ACT registration till end 2005.

I also have a set of R33 GTS-25T front brakes with calipers and really good alarm (cost me $700 from this site out of Japan, pages mobile phone when car is being played with and has built in TT, etc) that hasn't been installed yet. Also have genuine ex-racing GTS-R rear spolier, not on car, being painted.

Car is located in Canberra but willing to ship. Rego is YCE-02L (ICE-02L)

I'm asking $12,000 ono for it. Have pics, e-mail me on [email protected]

    Cheers

  2. I had a search for this quickly but couldn't really find anything.

I'm after some shops in Perth that are specialist Jap Tuning/Repairs places.

The HICAS on my skyline is stuffing up. Leaking power steering rack and no one I take it to seems to know anything about it or how to fix it. Anyone have any experience with this or know anyone good to take it to?

I also need a good Microtech tuning shop that knows about import turbo cars. Any help here would be appreciated too.

I'm only new to this side of the country so any help you guys could offer would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

    Alex

  3. I know there was a post on this a little while ago but I am after something a bit different.

I'm looking for someone who can do bonnet vents, I'm not talking about cutting a hole out and screwing in a plastic vent, I want someone who can cut and shape a bonnet into the style I want.

Any ideas? I'm looking to do something similar to the vents you see in the carbon fibre bonnets you see on all the R34s.

    Thanks in advance

  5. What about a track day at Wakefield Park? It's a bit closer for the Canberra and South Coast people and not that far from the Gong either? I don't think the BBQ thing would be an issue there. They are generally pretty good.

I'd be keen for anything to meet more people. Something always seems to come up when cruises are on with me.

  6. A similar thing happened to me too. Checked fuse box, in japanese, didn't have a clue which one I should look at so I pulled the door apart first. Loose connection there but that still didn't fix it. Ended up being the fuse as well.

Got quoted for a new one from Nissan. $510 !!! Ridiculous.

  7. I got sent the following by a guy who'd converted his Silvia to 5 stud. Hope this helps

s14 hubs front and rear however best only change hub centre on the rear and keep standard rear brakes, the hub centre bolts straight on with 4 bolts, trust me this is the easiest way plus rear brakes dont really do much anyway.

s14 lower control arms will have to be used with adjustable s13 castor rods. Any nissan brakes will bolt on such as r32,33,34,GTR,GTS-T,300ZX, 200SX etc etc Last you will need some wheels to fit, any OE nissan wheels are cheap and look cool too! If you dont want excessive negative camber you will also need adjustable camber tops (I have -3.6 without them!!)

You will need to drill out the s13 struts from 12mm to 14mm and buy 14mm high tensile bolts as the s14 hubs have 14mm holes.

All and all it is an expensive and in depth process but pretty straight forward and WELL worth it.

P.S The stock master cylinder is fine but you will have less pedal travel with a bigger nissan one such as 300ZX etc and they will all bolt straight up! You will need to cut down the brake line bolt before it will bolt into the calliper as it is a little too long.

I used 300zx discs and callipers on the front and stock brakes with only the centre hub changed on the rear as there is a LOT of mucking around with handbrake mounts etc. I have so much -ve camber because the s14 lower control arms are 10mm longer this is why you need adjustable castor rods.

    Hope this is useful

  8. Guys,

I have heard that you can increase the capacity of an RB20 to 2.3 using an RB25 crank and rods. Does anyone know if you can use an RB30 crank easily? Just looking for something a bit different. How about using an RB25 crank with different rods?

Anyone know where I can find all the specs for RB series engines, I can find info on bore & stroke but I am after some stuff on cranks and rods too

    Thanks

  10. That's why I was thinking about running two intakes. 1 throttle body will feed cylinders 1,3,5 and the other will feed 2,4,6. If I just cut the crap out of both manifolds and have it set up like a 2JZ supra engine I think it will work OK.

I'm pretty sure I have enough room. The other option is to get somewhere like Nizpro to custom make a plenum for me.

  11. Gradenko,

Yeah that's what I want to do. Pretty much the same as the pictures you posted but facing toward the front so I can shorten the intercooler plumbing. Will probably have to mount the throttle bodies one on top of the other so that I can fit them.

Who owns the car in the background? Any other details on it? Who did the work on the manifold?

    Thanks

  12. Skyline People,

I have managed to get my hands on 2 complete RB20 ECCS manifolds and am trying to work out the best way to go in building an intake with twin throttle bodies. I need to move the throttle body to the front of the plenum to reduce heatsoak on my intercooler plumbing so.....

Which would be the better option in your opinion:

    - Running two throttle bodies side by side on the front of the plenum may have to customise it a bit

    - Running basically two intakes, one throttle body has runners that feed cyls 1,3,5 and the other feeds 2,4,6

    - Running basically two intakes, one throttle body has runners that feed cyls 1,2,3 and the other feeds 4,5,6

Just trying to work out what would be more efficient. Would there be any dramas with additional injectors? Would I get equal air flow if I just put a fork in the intercooler plumbing before the throttle bodies?

    Thanks
