    Yep, I was hidden in amongst the three white boys I had in my car.

    Last night was good fun. Great organising Tony and great turnout.

    The only problem is now I want a R34 GTR so I can go fasssssttttteerrrrr...

    The uphill was awesome and the drive home was heaps of fun. Great to see the Ae86 starting sideways at the lights...

    Sanjay, good to know that the damage aren't that bad.

    So the upper and lower control arm that were broken/bent?

    Why the hell did the towie tell you to insurance job for?

    Yep. The car was towed to Chasers Eastside who sorted it out pretty quick.

    They said I only needed three parts which could be easily sorted out from the wreckers.

    Happy days and I was really lucky - the worst part was the tow bill.

    I'm pretty sure the tow guy wanted to tow the car to Melbourne and charge the insurance company a small fortune...

    It was my first crash ever as well - on and off a race track.

    Good to hear Sanjay... ...Watching a man hold back tears is uncomfortable for everyone... :thumbsup:

    hahahahaa .... lucky I had some good blokes around me to sort me out. :blush:

    Hey Kieran,

    Car got towed back to workshop in Melbourne and fixed within a couple of days.

    I was really lucky it was only a couple of broken control arms...

    Lessons I learnt:

    1) Never listen to a local towie who talks you into doing an insurance job

    2) Don't plant your foot on a corner exit in the wet on cold tyres...

    Car is happy again. Wallet still hates me. Meh - the joys of owning an import!

    I don't think so?!?! Replacing the T1-S.

    T1-Sport is a KU31 like tire (or the KU31 is a T1-S like tire...either way, hankook evo etc etc). So good overall life and grip on the road. Ok for light track days, 2-4 seconds a lap slower than R1-R.

    R1-R is a KU36 / 595RSR / AD08 like tire. Fantastic dry grip on the road, standard wet grip on the road. Will wear faster than T1-Sport, but super grippy on the track. Harder sidewalls for better cornering, compound built to last with heat.

    Generally lower means softer, means faster on the track, means more wear on the road. so 10-15,000km instead of 15-25,000km.

    T1-Sport

    UTQG = 240

    R1-R

    UTQG = 140

    kewl looks like safeway it is then....sanjay dun think itll be open coz vll have to meet there around 5 15 to leave at 5 30 to get to wallan BP at 6 15...but u can either get stuff the nit before or at the BP...:)
