  1. Yeah ok thanks. Im going to try another battery tonight. If no go ill get it all taken out as its not needed. EDIT: Spelling
  2. There in NO ALARM on the car. I have never had to arm or disarm or unlock etc. I never had any of this installed was just as it is when I got the car. Battery was bought new approx 12 months ago. Car has been off road for nearly 6 months though so has gone flat a few times. What you said about the light flasher relay sounds to be true. If the battery is low, or faulty would that cause the relay to go off like it is? I prefer not to have alarms on cars.
  3. I read the first post, i will probably just get it taken out, however would be good to know the reason if simple or complex to avoid problems down track.
  4. The battery is approx 12 months old. I trickle charged it and said it was good, have taken it into the shop twice and they have said it was good.
  5. The ticking noise is constant whenever battery is connected. The light is also flashign whenever connected. When the car was starting no light and no ticking.
  6. Car has problem. Wont start no ignition. Narrowed it down to a Viper Immobiliser which has a constant ticking noise coming from unit. (Sounds like hazards) Up under dash and security blue light constantly flashing. I have had battery tested twice and said its good. Volts meter says > 12. Weird thing is it used to start occasionally (example when i cleaned terminals and leads) however would then not start if i left them connected for say more than 1 -2 hours. Tried this now but wont start at all. I have checked/changed every fuse and relay from fusebox and box near battery. Car wont jump start. The car will roll start. I have never needed to use anything for the immobiliser before, however there is a little viper remote (which has never turned on since ive had car) From what I have read possible reasons are: battery dead, remote battery flat? (like said never had to use it before), key problem? however car used to start off a cut $10 key as well. And internal relay problem in the unit. If someone has any ideas, had a similar problems or any other suggestions feel free to throw them at me. Thanks
  7. The problem definately lies with this box. When car will start no noise, when car wont start loud ticking noise coming from this box and a click from fusebox. Can anyone tell me if these are standard on a 34 or possibly an immobiliser?
  8. Yeah i have since sorted out the stereo problem. (Fuse was corroded a little under bonnet) Im about to test another battery in the car, this has been my suspicion all along but our charger says good and the shops charger says good.
  9. The ticking noise is constant when the battery is connected. The times the car will start, the noise is not there.
  10. There is a loud ticking noise coming from a box under right side of dash just accross from steering column. Im not sure if this is a standard unit or aftermarket, There is no alarm on the car and I have never had to use anything for an immobiliser, but this seems a bit suspicious to me.
  11. Yeah, its just weird tho when battery is fully charged and reconnect terminals, leave them on and not to start say 5 hours later, but if disconnect terminals and not charge battery, reconnect later and starts fine... EDIT: No alarm on car.
  12. My GT-T has been off road for a while and I kick it over regularly. Recently there is a problem where it seems there isnt enough power to start car, however it will sometimes kick over perfectly if the leads are off battery for a while and i clean them and reconnect. If the leads stay on the battery for say 6 hours or more car wont start. When this occurs, there is a blue flashing light and a clicking noise from inside engine bay and right side dash, this leads me to believe battery problem. I have checked the battery and shop has also tested it and is in perfect cond. I find it weird that the car will start when termianls are left off battery for a while but wont start after a while. If anyone has any similar problems with a solution or any points that can help me out would be appreciated. ** Also there is a side issue where the stock cd player will not turn on. I have checked the acc fuse for radio, as well as taking the stereo out to see if there was a direct line fuse which doesnt appear to have one. Possibly blown up while jump starting? Im not sure on this one either.
