sorry to drag up an old thread but im selling this car now and it reminded me that I never posted up what fixed the missfire. I dont want people searching my posts and thinking it isnt fixed !
anyway it was a dry solder joint in the electrics.

Drove from Sydney to Mt Gambier, has done two trips to melbourne and countless trips to radelaide.
Has been my daily drive for nearly 4 years. Engine is always warmed up before any ‘spirited driving’ that said its been over 6k rpm bugger all. Normal driving I don’t go above 4k rpm.
Boost hits at around 3k.
When I first got the car back to Mt Gambier it was keyed a week later. The scratches are still there, they have been touched up, they are still obvious from less than a couple of meters away. There is also a bunch of paint missing from the bottom of the front bar and a bunch of stone chips on the front of the bonnet.

The 3G is great, I get around 650kb/s (im with telstra) If your set on vodaphone you'll want to ask someone in adelaide on vodaphone with an iphone what its like. Here in Mount Gambier you only get gprs with vodaphone on the iphone.
Email is great, you can have the push style.
I use to have problems with custom apps not working almost every day, had to delete and install one to make them all work again which I think was a common problem. It hasnt happend for a while now.
Wifi is unreal.
The GPS is unreal.
The web browser is unreal.
I want to mention that of 3 screens of downloaded apps (3x16) I have I have only paid for 3 of them, and all for less than $5.
I have an app to vnc to my servers.
I have an app to ssh to my servers.
I have an ebook reader.
I have a skype/msn/googletalk client.
All free

Theres so many cool apps.
You can do the whole unlock thing, but everytime I look at doing it I ask myself why, and I have no answer. If you want to do it to unlock it from a network the quickpwn thingo works fine.
Everything is backed up to itunes (apps,contact,music,etc.....) if you stuff it up.
I hate apple and their 'walled garden' approach to business but ive had this thing since just after they were released in Aus and I have not regretted it .... well ive wished it ran the android os a few times

Did mechanic regap your sparkplugs? After I installed my new sparkplugs I had all sorts of misses, after making sparkplug gap smaller the missfire was gone.Something to try anyways, GL!

I'd look at all the small things first before spending any more $$$, wiring, fuses, earth straps, coil loom, fuel pump wiring and fuel pressure, 0.8mm spark plug gap, clean AFM, O2 sensor, injector clean etc etc etc These things can drive you bats finding them.Also try this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...er-t233110.html

Get a screw driver preferably one with a steel shaft all the way through and start your car. Then use the screw driver as a stethoscope and put the blade end on the top of the injector and use your hand as a cup and listen to the noise coming out the end of the screw driver. Make sure that all your injectors are making the same level and pitch of click, ( if you know what i mean).This will be very hard if you don't have a forward facing plenum, got GL anyways.
Thats way to complicated for me

sounds like problem with one or two of your injectors. does it drive like a WRX? joking does it drive like a dog is there a noticeable loss of power ?Huge loss in power when it happens, so yes just like a wrx

Ive got a series '1.5' R33 (S1 engine) that about 6 months ago started having a missfire about 1% of the time and I would pull over and restart the car and it would fix it self.
Because it was so intermittent it took ages to get it to my mechanic while it was happening. I finally got it there while it was missfiring and he replaced the sparkplugs.
Didnt fix it and its slowly started happening more of the time until a few weeks ago its happening around half the time its going.
Took it back to my mechanic and he said coilpacks, so now its got splitfire coilpacks in it.
Didnt fix it.
To be fair I live in a country town and im fairly certain my car is the only skyline the mechanic works on.
Anyway i took a short 16 second vid, while you accelerate the engine it has an exhaust sound like a wrx instead of the normal smooth sound.

I access sau from behind some super expensive proxy/filtering setup in head office and also from behind my dinky astaro proxy here in my office.
You should follow up with whoever manages your proxy first I think.

I did a search for dynolicious and couldn't find anything so forgive me if its been mentioned already.

If you have an Iphone its a cheap ($15.99) way to see some fairly accurate(?) stats for your car. Just do a search for dynolicious in the app store.
It does not have metric units in it so far, but I think it will be very popular and will get a metric option down the track.

EDIT: Just playing with the app now, you can put multiple cars into it, you get to put a photo for your car from the camera's photos. You also get to add mods to see before and after results. It has mounting instructions in the app.
The only testing ive been able to do so far is to swing it about to get to to measure g's and things which is making me look like an idiot in the office

you have the width set to 550, why not set the width bigger ie. 700 to fit on the "standard minimum res" of 800x600 (i would argue that this would be 1024x768 these days and that 900 width would be fine) this gives people more room, Hi Bec, to have wide sigs that will not take up any more space on the screen
I think you want to encourage people to have wide sigs as opposed to high ones imo
