Although the ABS always had a very slight leak, Id just convert to NON abs if I was you. Though the clutch sounds like the one Ross and I put in it. It had all its nuts (pun intended lol) when I had it haha. -
When I got it it was a stock motor and ecu, JIC coilovers with tein springs(the tein bit wore off though), it had a ultra cool flashing inerior light (LOL), s15 rims, vertex front bar, no rear wing, low as all fark, an aftermarket no name clutch(this died in the end and a Aust clutch is in there now, ummmmm... It had a Jap stereo but only the CD player worked here, and even that died eventually.
Thats about the gist of it really haha, It has a very smooth driveline, I serviced it like literally every 3-4000kms(only with gtx 2 though haha) but the body was very rough, so I dare say it had seen sideways action before. J-Spec imports brought it here but I wasnt impressed so we wont talk about that anymore haha...

Go the Tas engine reconditioning in Argyle st Hobart - Ive never heard a bad thing about them and Matt has a lot of knowledge with import motors of all sorts.

Yeah I have all the papers, there is literally over 150 pages... the modifications the car has would be more of a worry than the import documents imo.
That VIN on the firewall was there from the factory, I promise
, as for why the VIN is different on the rego papers - I have no idea! Maybe they assign it an Aust number on the papers which references to the one on the car when they look it up on the computer? I'm not sure. -

Then ross bought it but he treated it really well and resprayed it etc, after that I have no idea.just want to know who imported it? cos there is no australian compliance plate on it anymore = for me

It didnt get a compliance plate because it was imported under the "15 year rule" (now the 30 year rule), therefore it only had to meet a few minor standards such as new aust spec seatbelts (hence why its only a 4 seater - it came as a 5 seater), non convex drivers mirror(hence flat bit of mirror glued to original haha). Other than that it had to meet a general roadworthy for Tasmanian Transport. SO, that said, it never had, nor did it require a compliance plate
Oh and the VIN on the firewall is the stock Nissan one, no numbers were put on the car at all. You should see the import papers - theres pages and pages and pages!.....Heres one of the pictures as it sat in the caryard in Japan:

Almost tempted at that price. Is it manual or auto? Whats the over condition in terms of pin dents etc? How many months out of rego is it? And finally, does it have the 4 piston brakes?

I got all those excuses and a whole lot more as well, its such a pain in the arse when they drag it on.
ETM are far worse.....
