  1. hey Jazzadub, ive got ACL race series bearings main and conrod bearings, the clearences have been checked by the machine shop and i brought the bearings to suit, je pistons and rings, everything has been purchased after all the checks were done, the machine shop had 2 assemblers but one is backed up for 7+ weeks and also said at times he has to put his over seas customers work first but he will try help me out. other isnt picking his cell phone up, so im just seeing if there is any one that they highly recomend, ive only heard the best of things about rips and he is definetly an option, everything has already been sent for balancing... thanks for your imput ill shoot rips an email and see what he has to say... the engine cost me 17k all up and i searched boost and some other forums and every one has something bad to say but not really anything nice to say so its made me really paranoid haha

  2. Hey guys looking for a workshop to assemble my 25/30 from around brisbane, is there any one you would highly recomend? or any body you would highly recomend not to go to ? or any expierences good or bad im a all ears, ive spoken to one person but he is about 7 weeks away from being able to do anything. everything has been purchased all the parts are there i can think of and machining should be finished this week, just waiting on the head to be assembled then i can go pick it up... ill provide cliffs just in case "tl;dr"

    cliffs:

-looking for workshop for engine assembly (25/30)

-recomend some one you have used or some one to stay away from

-machining will be finished this week

    -all parts have been brought

    -just need some one assemble

-who have you used for you assembly?

thank you ! hope to hear from you guys soon, also hope i put this in the right section >.<

  3. Not 100% sure. With parts, labour and machining.

    Well over $10k

all comes back to what u want done, but i was quoted 150$/ph labor in machining such as moving tensioner, fitting oil crank collar and any modding of the head and block...

i put some of my prices below to give you an idea, i get a lot of discount stuff because my machine shop has an account with the company i buy my performance stuff from.. and this is for a 25/30

    RB30 $free

Pistons $1280 (JE pistons with CR 8.7:1)

    Rods $587 (spool RB30 rods)

Sump GTR $190 (second hand nissan)

    Head gasket $230 (cometic)

    Gaskets $302 (genuine from NISSAN)

    Bearings $111 (ACL race series)

    Main bolts $157 (ARP)

    Head bolts $150 (ARP)

Machining 5-10 hours labor possibly more..

    Tensioners $234 (Nissan)

Studs for tensioners $60 (KUDOS motorsport)

    Timing belt yet to buy

my complete total is over 17k, with the above + turbo manifold inj plenum etc etc... i have not paid a cent in machining but if i had i can guarantee it would be well over 17k by now im sure if you look around and that you can get alot of stuff for cheaper and so on good luck with it all, and what ever you can get away with and do your self go for it, as it all adds up in the long run..

  4. hey guys im after a part number for a R33 GTR sump i have the following part numbers ive found but am not 100% sure if they are the right ones if some one could confirm or has the GTR sump part number and could let me know that would be awesome

  5. For sale is series 2 rb25det block crank gurdle rods and pistons, no sump... we separated the head for the block, to use in our 25/30 conversion.... pistons have these small indents on them as it originally blew a hose of the turbo actuator and may have sucked in some debris... asking 200$ no sump included pick up only 4207 area Queensland.. good cross hatch on bores...

    PM for any questions....

  6. no loom, no coil packs, no coil pack cover, no throttle body. is there any other way to tell, the guys at Nissan couldnt help me, i purchased the head with out these items and i have contacted the person i purchased it off in hope he will remember but being wreckers he may have forgotten and i haven't heard from him yet, is there any other way at telling with out these items i basically only have an rb25 short motor, and nothing else other then cam and assembly, cam gears cam covers etc etc... if any one knows any other way would be much appreciated, and ive heard mixed reprorts but can any one confirm that an rb25 s1 uses a different gasket set from a s2, the boys at Nissan have told me they need to know what series the head is so they can order the gasket kit and other items for me...

any help would be much appreciated sorry if its a noob question tried to research this one my self...
