Sounds good to me. I'll order tomorrow.
Thanks guys.
(If anybody else had more input, still appreciated.)
-
I've got myself a set of 18 inch TE37's, 8.5 front (+30) 9.5 rear (+40).
I was hoping to fit 245-40 up front and 265-35 on the rear. Having a look behind my standard rims, there isn't a whole bunch of space.
Anybody running these kind of sizes that can put my mind at rest?
-
I'll admit I'd never have thought of that, but that's probably because it's SO far out of the box.
Honestly, without a million different cars sitting next to mine to test fit, I'd have no idea which calipers would fit. Just a bit vague in that area. Probably why I was opting for bolt-ons.
I love the suggestion though and will try to search the web for some different examples.

Why did your parents buy you a pink R33? I just can't wrap my head around it. Did they know what a Skyline was before they bought it?
I'm just kidding mate. I think red is definitely where you want to go with the interior though mate. White parkers will make the color stand out more, so that's totally up to you. It's a nice paintjob, regardless of color, so I'd say show it off.
Gauges... can't confirm, as I only have the standard ones, but AFAIK, anything in the view of the driver is out of the question, as is anything that will interfere in a crash. So nothing on the dash in front of you, nothing on the A-Pillar.
AFAIK.

Beautiful example of a clean ER34. You should have no problem finding a buyer. Good luck with the sale.
-
Hmmm... I've got two hatchbacks. Doubtful anybody will take them from Cairns though.
-
Rofl. You're telling me.
I'm at the end of my wits with Endless, Brembo, etc... So expensive...
Don't get me wrong, one day I'll have 8k-10k of brakes under there, but for now, I'd be happy with stopping power... having said that, tiny rotors will look balls under the 18' TE's.
Edit:
Looks like I'll just be getting good (although still 310mm) rotors and good pads and leaving it at that for now...

Big fan of the TE37SL if I were buying new.
Also, saw yesterday Import Monster has a nice set of Gram Lights second hand. Definitely worth a look Shoujiki.
-
=( Seemed like a viable option while keeping the factory calipers... not so viable huh?
-
Always heard bad things about spacers... for the life of your car, and obviously legality.
Please advise?
-
Wow.
How the hell do I sit my GT-t on V36 rotors?
O.o

The only reason I mention it, is I've found a set for $2500 delivered, seem alright condition, in the above offset I mentioned.
So as long as +40 will fit, I'll deal with the cosmetic aftershock. At least they will fit nicely, regardless of the outter face concavity.
I hope.
-
Cheers sonny.
Thought I'd be safe there. TE's should look fine with that offset.
-
I could do with a bit of advise.
About to buy TE37's:
Front: 18" 8.5 +30
Rear: 18" 9.5 +40
Am I going to have any issues?
-
^^ Awesome business name!!
+1 for truth!

I don't have anything to offer mate, but for those that do, you might want to clarify:
Coupe or Four Door?
I assume coupe from your discription? Just making sure.
-
Reserved for later. Will add big reply.
For now:
Loach: I apologise. I read: http://www.j-spec.com.au/info/Personal-imports and was working with false information.
elrodeo: Funny that advise. I was actually telling everybody today, "Seems like too much hassle. Will probably work here and just import one."
Although a parts trip for the ER34 may work better. Cheers.
(Still going to edit.)

Without stating the obvious, I'm going to go ahead and assume the only reason anybody wants to go to Japan (with the context of us being on a Japanese performance car forum) is to bring back a personal import.
AFAIK, you cannot bring back a personal import on a Working Holiday Visa, only a Working Visa.
But basically, it sounds hard to secure a job, unless I go spend four years at Uni first?
Better off spending that time earning, then paying all the import fees?... Sigh.
Edit: Sorry Loach, were you suggesting I go on a Working Holiday Visa, then, while in Japan after finding a job, change my Visa to a Working Visa? If you can, that sounds great.
Edit Edit: Apparently that was reply, not edit. =/

Would be very keen to organise a cruise.
How about a month out from now? (Give or take.)
Around the start of April? EOI.
-
It's probably written somewhere, but is Varex restricted at all? (Like some of the Jap exhausts.)
-
-
^ This. I'm interested.
-
Oh god, if only.
They'd probably argue you could have messed with the rest of the exhaust - so go over the pits.
