Cars exterior is rough as seen in photos and will require a paint job or wrap this is reflected on asking price.

  2. hey guys

i am contemplating whether i should get rid of the skyline and upgrade to a nissan murano as the family is growing.. so i just want to try and see how much interest and how much i can get for it. im hoping of getting around the $13.5K. so give me a offer.

i thought i'd post it up here first so all the V-series enthusiast can have a chance before i advertise to general public on carsales.

the car has been a wonder to drive. it has always made me smile when i put my foot down. and smooth when needed for just normal daily driving. the car has always been well kept, washed every 2nd week, well looked after and always serviced on time. and for the guys that are always negative about the cvt, dont worry its has been serviced 10000KM ago. it drives perfectly silky smooth!

those who have seen the car will vouch for me.

    here's the details

PM if u have offers or enquiries.

    cheers

  3. Thats a WALD bootlip you have aswell.

This is a great car peeps, well looked after and looks great in the flesh!!

A decent good condition GT-8 is hard to come by.

    Good luck with sale mate!

    cool ill update that.. thanks

There are a bunch of them on car sales at the moment.. But yours seems to have a lot of extras which makes your asking price quite reasonable.

I think it is the repair costs of the CVT 'IF',something goes wrong that scares people.

    Good luck!!

yea u are right about the cvt repair cost. but i seriously think that was a thing of the past. when these cars first came to australia, no body knew anything about these transmissions.. u would call the dealer up and they would tell you just to use ordinary transmission oil. but now alot of mechanics have caught on. so in saying that i seriously believe the main reason why these gear box were failing was because of lack of service because nobody knew what to do back then. now days servicing them is a breeze, that is if your mechanic is switched on and knows what going on.

  5. It should be fine. U actually don't need a service at all til the KMs are due.. You should follow the KMs and not the months.. If you don't drive, your oil should remain new. There is no difference to parking your car there and keeping the oil in a bottle on the shelf.

Until u actually drive the car and use the oils life I would see no point in servicing and changing oil.

E.g. I service my car today and go overseas for 6 months.. When i get back does that mean I must service my car? Even though I haven't driven it?

P.s. I'm a mechanic and this is what we, my work and I have always told the customers. Unless its a new car and has new car warranty, then u must stick to the logbooks to avoid warranty being voided..

  6. Machine them and get a decent set of pads.. If you believe this is a oem problem then I would say get a set of aftermarket pads.

Rotor warp is caused mainly by the pad. In my opinion I highly doubt it is a oem problem. Nissan have been in the game for far too long and I see no reason why they would have this problem.

Although in the early ford falcon this was a factory problem and it was caused by brake master cylinder. Basically the master cylinder was slightly but constantly braking even when the pedal was not depressed.. This caused too much heat at the rotors and just warped rotors like no tomorrow..

In my opinion I would say just get a good set of replacement pads and machine the rotors..
