  1. Ok guys, after performing a few extensive searches, i cannot find much in the way of help for my issue..

Since owning my r33 (s1.5) i have never had a working horn..

The 'counterweight' i believe it's called, was loose in the wheel and i think the previous owner has gone about making sure the horn wouldn't go off at random times because of the weight.

So the issue, what could he have done? and in what order of events should i condone a check?

I havn't looked too hard yet as im not sure what im looking at, but being confident with auto eleccy work and mechanical work (i did engine swap myself etc) i'm sure if someone point me in the right direction i'll be fine..

or if your in the SE QLD area, i'll give you $50 to fix it.. =P

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Shane

**EDIT - car has factory airbag wheel..

  2. having an issue with my clutch, put a brand new slave and master cylinder in my 33. clutch was perfect for around 600klms and then is started picking up right near the floor and now i can't even get it into gear.

just wondering if anyone knows what to look for?

my first opinion was air in the system, not being bled properly, but then it lasted 600klms..

anyone knows how to troubleshoot would really appreciate it..

Do i even need the canister at the front? If someone could join the dots for me i'd really appreciate it.

Also, big black earth wire from near relay box, where do i bolt it on the motor?

    Thanks

    Shane

  4. Decided it was time to start a thread with my current project..

I purchased a 1995 ECR33 SERIES 1.5 shell from a local bloke, who had been ripped off with an engine build (gave his mate cash and he did a runner..)

The car had been sitting in a semi enclosed shed for the past year, in this time alot of dust and mould had accumulated.. Upon first inspection I was a little worried about the condition of the car, but i was keen on a project, something to keep me busy so this is how it started..

As it sat in his shed:

    - HKS hypermax coilovers

    - 18" KOYA inox STRYKER wheels (full tread)

    - 600x300 FMIC + piping (only to engine bay)

    - APEXi strut brace

    - OEM rear srut brace

    - GREDDY catch can

    - Polished alloy cold air box

    - GREDDY PROfec Type S electronic boost controller

    - MONGOOSE M80 alarm system

    - RSR catback exhaust system + high flow cat

    - NISMO shift knob

    - NISMO lightweight flywheel

Purchase price was $2000, full immaculate interior (mouldy) and gearbox inc.

Here's when I just got it back to my shed:

So, I needed to source a SERIES II RB25DET..

After calling around and e-mailing a few importers, Mark from Wholesale Car Parts Australia went above and beyond what I expected, so off i went to Archerfield..

$1600 later and this is what I returned with:

Now, It came time to sort out the parts i required for the installation. After a few busy days on the phone and internet i ordered the following parts:

    - BOSCH belts

    - silicone heater and radiator hoses

    - all PENRITE fully synthetic oils (gearbox and engine)

    - 52mm alloy radiator

    - EXEDY sports tough clutch

    - adjustable castor rods

    - custom full stainless dump/front pipe

    - LED bulbs for everything (i like my lighting ^^)

    - APEXi pod and afm adapter plate

    - Clutch master and slave

While waiting for parts, we decided to give the engine and car a little makeover, doing everything before the motor went in..

    after a wash:

blackened the front up, and custom mounted my personalized plates:

    then the clutch arrived, fitted:

bored again waiting for parts, engine detailed:
