  1. Hey guys,

Done a few hours google'ing and searching the past week about the Uprev style tuning the v series guys use, and couldn't find any answers about whether or not someone has used it on the VQ25DET? Has it or can it be done?

At this stage im not fussed whether it can be done or not, but I cant even see an answer either way!

    Thanks.

  2. After putting up with a low idle for a week , yesterday took out throttle body to wash out with carb cleaner, gave it a good clean - hooray problem sorted.

Went for a good long drive last night to give it a good squirt, blew the passenger globe ! WTF its 6 months old.

Picked up a HID kid at 11, dismembered the front end and took the lights out. All complete by 13:30

While putting it all back together there is a whiff of coolant found that rad is weeping just near the cap  . so now new rad time as soon as I order and it arrives.

Yeah that's where they always split.

Think it happens to everyone eventually!

  3. White M35 ARX with roof racks leaving Jetts in Ringwood this morning.

    Oh hello! :action-smiley-069:

Do you train there as well?

Not an ARX by the way!

  4. so last weekend I installed a new radiator that Scotty got in for me.

Oem sizing except the core is at least twice as thick I'd say. Didn't require are cutting and went in super easy.

Also got a new oem thermostat, old one was believed to be faulty.

Also did the coolant bypass mod.

I wish I had of done that as soon as I got the car!

Took no time to bleed and the car sits a fair bit cooler.

Now I've definitely got some confidence to make is go a bit better!

  5. I used the radiator Scotty was just mentioning. Fitted it last weekend.

It's at least twice the thickness as the standard and didn't require any modifications at all.

Took maybe an. Hour to do the swap, not a hard job on the m35 at all. But bleeding the cooling system is another problem all together.

Definitely look into the "coolant bypass mod" on these forums.

I also just did this on the weekend along with a new thermostat.

Took very little time to bleed and the car now sits lower on the temperature gauge.

  7. Practical mods are the best kind, right?

Finally got the roof racks fitted to the stag, after the roof rack superstore stuffing me around for 2 weeks.

Both of the sunroof's still open which is nice, except its super noisy thanks to the racks. Might have to invest in one of those wind deflectors...if they actually work.

Will be fitting an awning to it in the coming weeks to, for the weekends away!

  8. While tacking my new stag and dog for a drive up to Mt Donna last tuesday (cup day) i saw, and spoke to a guy fixing he's silver R34. If you're on here mate, i hope you got that cooler piping to stop blowing!

  9. Hey guys, picked up my m35 on Friday night. So far I've just chucked a pod filter on it and block the BOV. After an hour or so of driving it threw up the CEL. I pulled over straight away and had a look around. Couldn't find anything. Also seems to be driving as normal. I read somewhere that they go away after a while if you had the AFM unplugged. It's been 2 days now.

All the research I've done shows it usually flashes an error code too, mine does not.

Anyone experienced this or no what it could be?

    Thanks!

Mechanically it runs perfectly. Ive replaced exhaust manifold gasket, replaced the turbo with another T3, turbo gasket and rocker cover gaskets. Replaced many other things over the time I've owned it but just cant recall everything.

I used this car as a daily on my P's for 2 years and i never had any dramas with police or anything so it doesnt stand out which makes a perfect street car.

The body is pretty rough though. The major body problem is a big dint in the driver side rear quarter. Also a few small dints in the front quarters and the drivers door.

Car has rego until october and a RWC can be organized.
