yeah all run in.seems to be going ok.still on the old tune not as quick as before but very safe lol had glassy check the mixtures was ducking under 10-1 so will need a tune for sure maybe around power play time.have not been driving the car much dave took it the other night seemed to like how it went tho

I'D 2000s + e85 + cam timing adj = full boost at 5600, rev cut at 8700......wheelspin from 60-200km/hr, no probs, over 500hp on Tap from 6k upwards. So its not crap, had you been in it in the last 3 months you would know, even the pump tune is much fatter in the midrange now. If you didn't want anyone starting crap in here why wouldn't you just state facts rather than have a stab at someone with an spl powered supra whom you had a falling out with a few months ago........
Anyway, so when you upgrade the damaged kai you are using now will you be staying with that spec and not going bigger or going to try to get a billet around the 800 size?
lol someone seems to be taking something a little personal .i didn't have a go at him or his car if you read anything i have said.... i stated that i didn't want a spl as it would not suit what i want to do from past experience. i have no problems with his car i happen to like it.
the car has not been tuned yet still on the old tune so i will probably get it tuned and see how it goes from there as the gearbox is next on the list. i don't want to go to alternate fuel so i may stick with the old turbo as its fine as im not after numbers out of the car.

Are you saying a 35r has poor response and is a bad choice as a street turbo?
And yeah, I am having a down day....
BTW, spl 51r is a great setup for the street, especially if wheelspin from 60-200 on a pair of 295s is your kinda thing.
lol for starters ive been in this car with the spl no chance of it smoking from 60-200 so don't come on here talking crap .nicks point of an spl on my car would make it a dyno queen.i don't see 2000 rpm of power be user friendly on the street or a circuit with tall gearing and not making full boost or power till 3rd anyway as experienced in other spl powered car im just being realistic here?i have had a chance to have a play around in the new set up and am quite happy with it cant wait till its tuned will be even more street-able

i remember this car for ale a while back, my uncle almot bought it but would have had too many dramas with the top mount and manifold ect being from melbourne, i remember he told me to make up my mind as there wa a guy from queensland wanting to part trade his hsv for it.
what a beautiful car it is though mate, i still have all the pictures he sent to me, just out of curiosity though if you dont mind me asking, how did the engine damage?
becaue i remember it wa a top dollar job at croydon and it didnt have many k's on the rebuild.

was nothing to do with the build or croyden it was me being a bit harsh on it.yeah thats me i used my ve clubby as a holding deposit on it.was what i had always wanted so i had to have it.

Dont really wanna start cutting into the sump as its a good capacity (9L) and with the baffle gates inside wil be a pain to move them up. Find out when we are slotting motor back in might be able to work a fix.
Exhaust im not too sure on but its been modified to the job, tim might be able to shed some light on brand. the intake is a good old Hypertune manifold.
the exhaust manafold is hks as it was bought as a full t51r kit

sorry guys have not benn on here in a few weeks yes the crank has been tested and its perfect nothing wrong with it.and yes you can buy one rod from jun japan its at a cost of $350.00

just a valve seat sliped down and bent a valve.had it all tested as i was going to use it again rods and crank are perfect just one piston is damaged.

hi guys i got all my parts back from the workshop where the engine was sent after i had a part problem,as i need the room in the shed just want to sell as i dont have the room at home.and they may help out others.
i have a rb26 block that need a sleve or two. open to offers on that.
a 2.7 jun stroker crank,rods and pistons but there is only 5 of them as one has been damaged (the others look fine but would be up the buyer to decide i can get a new set if needed ) im after $3500.00 that inc postage to anywhere in aus.but if the new set of pistons are wanted $5500.00 the crank and rods have only done 7500ks
