  1. Hi guys,

I'm currently chasing a 3" or 3.5" catback exhaust for my r33. I'd prefer something that isn't a canon style but I'm open to seeing whats out there.

I'm located in Sydney but am willing to travel up to two hours for one.

The quickest way to get in contact is via text message on 0468 330 099 (perhaps send me a photo of what you have) alternatively, you can message me through here.

    Thank you!

    Dee

  2. WTB R33 DASH CLUSTER

    Hey,

Like my old r33 the rpm doesn't like to work and the speedo gets sticky too with the needle on my current r33. Looking for a working cluster (I don't care about the amount of kms on it) Pm me or text me on 0468 330 099. Happy to pick up anywhere in Sydney or will pay for postage if you're keen to post out.

    Cheers

I may have missed a few things not listed above but that is what I can think of at the moment so bear with me (will try update as I go). Moving on, it is an absolutely beautiful car to drive and a very underrated variant of the skylines produced. Cruising along the highway in 6th gear is extremely comfortable and getting around town in a hurry is not a problem with the VQ35 with the added tasteful modifications. I should add, it is nice and quiet until you want to open it up for some of that raspy VQ goodness! I’m in no real rush to sell to be honest. It hasn't given me any headaches and I do love driving it and will continue to do so if I don't find the right buyer. Please don’t bother making any offers unless you come and see the car as I will just think you're a time waster. It has a few blemishes around the body given it is 15 years old (the usual car pink dings and scrapes) also the drivers side seat has the common issue where they all tear in a particular spot (this is a cheap fix as it is a small piece to literally remove and stitch back on with a new piece of leather). Overall however it presents itself well and looks amazing in black (I honestly think this is the best colour for a 350gt). It has 130,400kms and has rego till 12 September 2017 (will pass inspection nice and easily).

I won’t hold the car for anyone so please understand that it’s first in first served as I’ve had an endless amount of time wasters throughout the years while trying to sell a car. I am negotiable but like I've said, will prefer to take people seriously with offers once they see it. I hope that whoever is planning on buying it doesn’t run it into the ground and continues to look after it as I have! Text preferred on 0468 330 099 as I usually won’t answer phone calls. I’m located in Rouse Hill Sydney. Thank you, Dee.

    $10,500 ono

  5. I had the same issue with my r33 Gtst. I ended up prying out the fuel neck compliance thingy, cleaning it up and using sikaflex to create a nice new seal for it and refitting it. Now the fuel smell is gone and when I go to fill up at the servo you can hear the pssssshhh sound which would never happen before.

If that doesn't fix it then just replace the fuel pump o ring as its a cheap fix (might need replacing after you changed your fuel pump) this was the cause for my in cabin fuel smell when I had my S15.

  6. Thank you ^

Just an update incase someone else out there stumbles upon this thread. I was having an issue with my s1 gtst r33 where if I would turn my car off and then on again (usually when the car is warm) the powersteering would be gone.

I plugged in a s2 hicas ecu instead from another r33 GTST and so far it seems to have fixed the problem. Thank you guys!

  7. Hey SAU,
I have a r33 gtst manual which I've owned for about a year now. The car has had a weird hunting/idle issue since I've had it. I've plugged my ecutalk in to have a look and from what I can see the timing jumps up and down. I tried blipping the throttle a few times lightly and sometimes It would sit at 15 degrees at idle when it came back down from the revs with no dipping and hunting noise. When its fluctuating it can fluctuate from what I could see around 5 degrees to about 13. It does this a lot, no matter what the temperature is like or how long I've been driving for. It can sit normally at idle and be fine and then a few seconds later it will fluctuate and you can definitely hear it without needing to plug in any consult software.
I've always felt like the car just doesn't perform like it should. Feels weaker than most rb25s I've driven. Not sure what other info to post up but the only other reading from ecutalk that was being erratic was my O2 sensor voltage. Which at idle (Can be at 15 degrees or when its being erratic) will go up close to 1 voltage and then drop back down and then up again etc etc. This may be normal but I'm not to sure?
People have said to get another CAS and to get the timing reset. I was just wondering what the forum thought and what other things I could check out or any other info I can try post up from ECUtalk etc.
  8. Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the best category to be posting in but I'm trying to disconnect the hicas ecu from inside the boot of my r33 gtst to connect another one as I'm trying to fault find a power steering issue and just eliminating things as I go with spares in the garage.

It's really difficult to unplug, is there a trick to removing the plug? I've unscrewed the casing where it mounts, I just can't remove the plug at the back.
