  1. ^^ i have no internet at home.... i must be a partial caveman

    Why certainly, without a doubt.

I do those things. And I still know when the rego on all 3 cars I use is due.*

Does that make me the caveman that invents fire?

*beating everyone else to the punch, yes I realise the S14 barely qualifies in this example.

    Now that's quite a stretch :P

  2. without the sticker, you just have to assume its not registered. pessimism pays in this instance

which cavemen dont have phones with internet these days? or a maccas down the road to get free wifi?

The very same cavemen who make an effort to venture out into the world, smell the roses, enjoying what life has to offer... rather than living in an online bubble they call home!

  3. Japan's small enough to have cars driven in short distances. Plus being a sports car, they could be respected by most enthusiasts and driven rarely. Question is if they're tampered here or over there.

Japanese cities on the other hand are actually quite huge, due to their vast population density - which is where I assume, most people do their driving.

If you pay a premium for a 13+ year old car, then I guess it's a risk you'll have to take. Also consider that, in the end, it's still seen by many as the same car, no matter the cost...

  4. Must be the geek in me but I reckon its easier then getting off ones chair going out side and having a look I never looked at my rego disc just always knew when the paperwork came I had 4 weeks to pay the bill

But what if someone needs to borrow another's vehicle, and they don't have internet access with them at the time. What then...

Oh and I always checked my rego sticker whenever I washed my car, before

  5. Hey guys, just some questions:

    1) Can red light cameras scan for any unregistered cars that past, or do they only detect a car once a red light/speeding offence has occured.

    2) If a car were to drive towards an intersection where a red light camera is postioned, and that car turns left at the slip lane instead of proceeding straight ahead, is the red light camera still able to scan that particular car's number plate to see if it is unregistered.

    3) If that same car that turned left at the slip lane onto a main road where there is another red light camera positioned behind, can that camera on the main road scan the car's plate, even though the car did not pass the intersection area for that particular camera.

    4) Can someone further explain how the 7 day grace period works for unregistered cars detected by traffic cameras.

    Cheers!

  6. So therefore a Supra TT would be on par with an R34 GTR?

This means the Supra TT is better value for money... $25,000 Vs $45,000

    Is this right?

Interesting that a R34 Gtr can be acquired for $45k back in 08. It must have been quite a steal at that price... either that or they haven't gone down in value over the past couple of years, in regard to all the other flagship cars from Japan.

still the same looking car. Not like a GTR and GTT where the supr model has phat guards and a stance like a BOSS. Supra make have a sleek look but GTR screams.....get out of my f**king way or i will destroy you....tough

I do like the look of the R34 Gtr's in general, although they do tend to appear fairly lean and tall for an all-round performance orientated car. How Nissan managed to make them handle the way they do in relation to their form deserves some accreditation. Perhaps the same goes for the R35 and all prior models.

  7. I've been car browsing the past week or so and I couldn't help but notice how much a standard 1999 R34 GTR can fetch these days. Despite being over 12 years old, why do they command such a high price?

Compare this to say a 1998 R33 GTR which can be purchased for around the mid to low $20k mark, that's quite a discrepancy in price between the two. Are they all that much better than previous models or is this a trend thing....
