  2. The workshop lost them, but I have to shoulder some of the responsibility too, since I failed to check if they were in the box the calipers were returned to me in.

I only noticed last night and was hoping that it maybe a common knowledge thing, cause I have to fight to get the skyline into the garage to work on it lol. One garage space, four cars, four opinions on who gets the garage.

  3. I am almost ready to put my new rotors, calipers an brake lines on my 32.

I had my 33 front calipers professionally rebuilt an painted my the car was in at the workshop last year (they aren't on the car yet). I pulled them out of storage on the weekend and found certain parts of it missing!

The bolts that go across the opening on top, where you'd see the pads come into contact with the rotors, are missing on both calipers. As well as the lil spring steel plate/shim that goes there too.

What I was wondering was, is there any other parts in that top area besides the pads, bolts an shim?

Would my 32 type m caliper donate it's ones or is it not compatible?

The workshop also lost the bolts for my radiator panel -__- their work is really good but I'm still not impressed

Any advice or help will be appreciated :-)

  4. Hey,

I'm upgrading my r32 gtst front brakes with r33 gtst 4pot calipers an rotors. I want to get a set of redstuff pads for them so I emailed a supplier an explained what I had and wanted. I got a reply with some pics of pad shapes an was asked which shape matched what I already had.

Well thing is I never got pads with the calipers when I bought them, or shims for that matter. I was hoping one of you guys who has the same calipers with redstuff pads could tell me the EBC part number?

And if anyone has the EBC part number for the redstuff pads for the r32 gtst 2 pot rears too, that'd be great.

I'm putting on four new rotors, hel braided lines, all four calipers have been rebuilt, new fluid and hopefully a set redstuff pads. Should pull up good then :-)

    Thanks heaps

    Josh.

  5. Here's the latest for mine. Just finished getting a gtr bar cut, welded an fitted :D

    Cut? Welded?

    Youwotnow?

Gtr bar is like an inch wider then the gtst, the body shop cut an plastic welded it so it'd be a real flush an straight fit :-)

  6. 2 inche is right, but the stock R32 Gts-t rims were 16x6.5 inches. R32 GTR rims were 16x7, cause it isnt a GTR I cannot get away with putting 9s on and still be within RTA's guidelines and get the engineering cert.

I thought if im going to the trouble of getting a couple of things engineered for blueslip i might as well get everything done, won't cost me much extra and it'll protect me from defects. Trying to do things the right way. The amount of hoops i have to jump through though lol

correction gtst stock rims are 16x6, my bad.

  8. I'm getting everything engineered on my r32 gtst and I got knocked back due to my rims being outside the guards, the engineer said all I need to do is roll my guards. I was planning on new rims in about 6 months but I thought I might as well get them now an get them engineered too.

I've been looking at work xt7s 18s @ 7.5 wide fronts an 8.5 rear as well as 18 inch rota grids with a similar width front an back. White or bronze, haven't decided yet

I don't know much about wheel offsets and my current rims don't have any info stamped on them. My question is what offsets would make them fit nicely within the guards? Paint is only 2 months old and I'm not too keen about rolling the guards just in case it cracks the paint..

Any advice would be appreciated as I said I don't know much about this subject and I'm doing lots of research
