  1. That problem happens when you run out of Indicator Fluid. It allows the indicators to appear as though they're closer then they are, and blueslippers won't pass them.

Refill the fluid and they look normal again.

It's all to do with light waves bending as they go through different materials, without the liquid the light bends together, and hence they look close together.

Spoke to my mechanic while on lunch break at work & I was unsure what brand of fluid you'd recommend as he was going to charge me $300 to refill them?

So is it due to diffraction as the light travels through the gap in my bumper that causes interference & therefore makes my indicators seem closer together?

  2. Idk what you mean, mate. My methods are tried and proven. :)

Foxy Box, your car looks great. It'd look fantastic with a big shiny cooler with a pod hanging off the end of it. Do it and post results!

Thank you Kawasakirider, I think it might happen eventually, maybe closer to getting the turbo put in.

Are you sure it turbo to start with mate? It has 4 stud hubs and those rear rotors look a bit small, but its hard to tell from the pic.

Do me a favor and have a look behind the plenum next to the AAC valve and tell me if there is a nipple for a vacuum line if it doesn't it was probably never turbo.

    I'll check it out tomorrow.

I also spotto four stud hubs... Is probley a factory NA which would exlplain why it's not misserably slow, and having 4.11 diff gears its jump off the line fast ish

Seems to have power behind it, however comparing it to the only other skyline I've been in, no, no power haha.

  3. Wow, I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up!

Well no, the car feels fairly quick. I mean the car I inherited before it was a slug. The only other skyline I've been in is a twin turbo R32 GT-R. So I don't have much to compare it too. But it kills all my friends straight & v6's. It pulled with a VE SS ute the other day. It's had minor things done to it, but you know. Pulls hard upwards from 3,000rpm.

  4. Ok, the car is registered as a gtst so it dosent matter if you take the turbo off or not, if ur restricted to a non turbo u can't have a factory turbo registered car, regardless of weather u have the turbo attached or not (yes it's dumb)

Plus as turbo motors run a lower compression ratio (google this) then a non turbo motor they will make alot less power when compared to a factory rb25de (compared to a de turboed rb25det)

.... Unfortunately Natro motors require hi comp to make power and as uve essentially got a low comp rb using a Natro induction method your going to make sfa power (which is fine if your not interested in power) but as a heads up your going be down at least 20rwkw compared to a factory non turbo 25... Which only make about 100rwkw to star with so.... Yeah

Yeah that's fair enough, but the car was fully complied & swapped when I got it, I've been pulled over by police before & they've checked it out. I guess if they didn't know it was a turbo to start with the couldn't tell.

That's fair enough, I'll have a talk to my mechanic & see what he says.

  5. Hi all,

    I have a R33 gts-t that was converted to non-turbo as per p-plate laws.

However the stock cooler that's in there at the moment is pretty average & will soon need replacing.

I plan on putting a turbo back into the car eventually, so I was wondering if it's worth putting a front mount in it now getting it ready for a turbo, instead of waiting till the turbo gets put back in?

I didn't really see a problem with this, but I'm new, so I thought I'd ask for any advice/opinions!

    Cheers,

    Alex

  6. They're momo pedals & yes whilst they do have alloy on them, they are not worn down & the rubber on them is still very grippy. I didn't purchase them, they were already on the car, personally I would have kept the originals, but each to their own I guess.

But like I said, I got told I needed new wipers that were only 2 months old, I'd only used them once washing my windows.

Anywho, I'm fixing it up & taking it back there this week. Can anyone help me out with some original pedals or headlights?

  7. I'll get the full list up tomorrow when I grab the paperwork from my car, but my so called "racing" pedals were on there.

Yeah I'm going to get around to all the easy things to fix, then go from there.

Yes I am the buying, trying to transfer rego into my name.

Nah don't really have a regular mechanic, however my uncle is a truckie & thinks he knows some people they may be able to help out.

Haha nah it wasn't there, I'm from 3156

  8. Hi all,

Recently after taking my R33 to a garage that I was told would "look after me" in the way of a road worthy, I have come home with a list as long the longest thing you could think of, but longer.. Of things they say need to be fixed.

Some of it is absolutely ridiculous! They even included two month old windscreen wipers, it hasn't been driven in the rain in the past two months, I literally do not understand how they could've added them to the already long, long, long list.

So, as it stands, I'm trying to find a "friendly" garage that can help me out. Somewhere that actually knows what a skyline is & doesn't deal with your everyday p-plater & their 'fully sick' lowered commie.

Having said that, the car is actually in really good nic, it runs perfectly, is always maintained & the only reason I thought it may not pass is for a small crack in my front right headlight, WHICH THEY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT.

Can anyone help me? I'll shout you a beer! Maybe even two.

    Thanks,

    Alex.
