  1. Got my 20 tuned yesterday and made 341 hp on 20 psi mex (safe tune) with following mods.

    Unopened rb20

    Greddy td06-20g -l2 8cm turbo,

    Stock mani with customer waste gate mod,running 38 ultra gate with 10psi spring,

    34gtr inj with resistor pack,

    Z32 afm,

    Fmic,

    Full 3 inch zorst with 4 inch tip and custom screamer,

    Power FC with h/c,

    Bleed valve,

    K&N pod,

    Yellow jacket coil packs,

    Bosch 044.

    I am very happy with the tune but am wondering what the limit I can further push the 20 is as no signs of stress on dyno.

    Will post dyno when iPad stock fekin my round..

Good luck with it all mate but for sure I'd go a 26, my mate just went thru the same thing when his 20 went,he went the 25 route then found out 2 weeks after it was complete that financially the 26 route was achievable for a much smaller price then all quoted. For a mere end total of $800 more the 26 is what I will be going when my 20 goes.

  3. Had a td05 20g on my 20det with all the supporting mods,full boost I think from memory was 3800 - 4000ish rpm and pulled farking hard to redline. Don't have dyno sheets but was safe tuned around 18 - 19psi, 320hp and around 700nm of torque.. They are a good lil turbos but the td06 20g is much better if you can wait that extra few more hundred rpm..Lag isn't all as bad as some people make it out to be....

  4. Doesn't it all just come down to money then mate?,most people I know would go the 25 and myself to if the funds were in the bank. Dont get me wrong i love my 20 and it does take a bashing and still is living happy but the 25 is just a bigger newer engine, flows better and can make more power with minimal mods...seems to me then ur only dilemma is the body, a nice sexy looking 32 or a hideous 33 rolleyes.gif .Good luck with u choice.

    The thing that amuses me the most, is how much ALL import owners complain about this shit.

    You have seen the amount of people who also own imports who are 'bogans' or just complete dickheads and do the exact same shit that other 'bogans' and complete dickheads do in their v8s. People from both sides of this "fued" I suppose you'd call it, challenge each other or try to provoke stupid acts from each other.

    We also all KNOW that owning an import usually brings unwanted attention from the police.

    If you can't handle your shit, keep your car to a track or dont own one.

    In regards to the above poster, why were you driving it around with known problems?

    Sorry slash but you get constant or even mild harrasment by the police or bias attention and see if you may hve the same mind set after or while your going through it plus my main reason I post is because I don't think it's fair when your godly given rights and free choice come under scrutineer in this country and you get targeted because of your free choice of vehicle you choose to drive,it is unjustifiable , a form of harrasment and un australian.There is other problems that hve just labeled the whole import scene as goons hoons and gollywogs etc but why put the whole import scene driver in the whole same bucket?..there can be shit thrown around all day but alot of people know that import driver will get pinged 9 times outa 10 over any other car and there will be a day when imports will be a thing of the past an not seen on roads unsure.gif

    I respect and can get what your saying char and I get what costanza is saying and it pisses me off big time I put up with this shit daily on the roads toooo but I think he was just ranting an venting and allowed to have his say just as we all are and the only thing i think is that he is guilty of is not knowing how to use the search function.....plus I also do own a 300+kw 32gtst (no love needed) and up till last week a 400kw evo 6 and I have a Million stories of stupid dumb fcukn v8 drivers and the shit they do but it will never change until it is brought into the publics and medias eyes..
  7. Kando's turbos are great. My girlfriends sister has been running a td05-20g on her sr for a year with no dramas and cops a flogging more then often and my mate has had a kando td06 on his rb20 for nearly 6 months now pushing 27 psi on track days and smashes the fkuc out of it and no signs of smoke,shaft play or anything else yet,very happy with a 800$ delivered to door turbo.

    I have been in a sr with 3071 and did like but that thing needed around 20 psi to start getting on song and I have owned a td05-20g so as i liked the feel of that I decided to go the td06 l2 20g 8cm and went and picked it up yesterday. Will be going in next week,only thing is I'm trying to get a t3 to 3 bolt trust style flange adaptor for my mani as I dont have a grand for greddy or good aftermarket mani..will post up dyno chart next week.

    Let us know how u go mate as I've always wondered the dif between the 05 and 06 7cm vs the 8 cm 06.Cheers

    Unopened silver top rb20

    Power FC with hc Z32afm Gtr injectors n resistor pk yellow jacket coils. Manual bleeder Fmic Cam gears. - tho set as stock currently Pod with custom intakeTd05 20g 7cmFull 3inch exhaust with 4inch muff Stock mani with mod for 38 ultra gate with screamer and 20psi of spring Bosch 044 Lightened flywheel -good sound on start up :-) Super single clutch Kaaz 2 way Lightened driveshaft

    On 20.5 psi it put out 325 at the engine but had the timing severely put back as gate wouldn't open til 20 psi and starting pinging at 24 so had to tune from 20psi and not good. Full power by 4200 - 4400 and pulled very hard til 8k,also the torque was a fkn crazy 850nm banana.gif

    Sorry man my bad it should of said hp. I will be getting 14 psi of spring into her to sort the timing issues out,a ebc and much bigger pod as my current one was choking ratios higher top end. Have dyno booked for two weeks so hopefully will post comparisons then.
