Hey Guys,
I have been thinking of selling my GTR for a while now. I work away in the middle of nowhere for 3 weeks at a time and get very little time to drive this car and have almost no need for it. Thought maybe someone on here would have better use for it.
Anyway;
1989 R32 GTR in Gunmetal Grey.
Just had the engine rebuilt by Marcus at Team K Kustoms in Sydney less than 2000km's ago.
Fully forged internals etc etc... list of items can be seen on the build thread.
Build thread can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/422322-another-r32-gtr-build-syd/
Mechanically car is superb. If I get time while I'm at home I may install a HICAS lock-out bar, new rear diff-bushings, track rod ends, gearbox mount/bushings. if not these parts and more will come with the car...
Has about 9 or 10 months rego left on it. Will have to double check that. Can get a RWC for a serious buyer
Would be looking at around the $19.5k mark but am negotiable and open to swaps for the right car so tell me what you got...
Contact me on here or text me on 04097097375. As mentioned I work away but I will be available from 9th-16th september for viewing etc..
Car is located in Sydney..
Anything else you wanna know get in touch.
Dave.

Thanks guys. Yeah it's good to see the improvements.
Sadly I don't get to drive it much at the moment due to work.
Still not sure if I should keep it or let it go to someone else who could enjoy it more than me, plus it's not hugely great to drive around Sydney in traffic... But every time I drive it I want to keep it. Haha.

Nice work with the crinkle paint, I was unaware what the finish product would look like without using a heatgun but it looks awesome.
Especially with the white 'RB26'
Thanks Zorbe, Yeah it was my first time using it. Sprayed it on and a couple hours later it was wrinkled nicely. The 'RB26' on the cover is actually just bare metal, sanded the paint off. Just looks white because of the flash on the camera...
By using a heat gun you get to wrinkle consistently across the object and it only takes like ten minutes to get the results.
Nice job though mate.
Thanks Ants, I thought about getting a heat gun on it but decided I didn't want to buy one just for 10 mins work... Looks good enough for me. Better than it did at first anyway...

powervehicles.com is run by english couple Andy and his misso (think thats their names I'm hopeless with names) and run the drift camps at Ebisu circuit.
They are top people and have very good contacts and have a strong association with the Team Orange drift performance team. They help a lot of people going to Japan to buy cars for the drift matsuri's and do a lot of imports and get some shit hot cars.
I'd personally have no issues using them for sending or sourcing a special vehicle and I am in no way affiliated with them.
Met them a couple of times and was impressed with their set up at Ebisu.
Yeah it's Andy and his partner Emily, and they are Scottish... (like me)
I was over in Japan a few years back and met them at Ebisu. Really nice couple and they do have a shit load of nice cars. They helped one of my mates who I was traveling with at the time buy a monster FC RX-7 so I'm pretty sure they would be more than helpful in sourcing a car for you.

Update:
I took home the engine covers and inlet manifold to give them a bit or a tidy up and here is the result so far,
Inlet prepped and primed:
Painted:
For the engine covers i decided to use the VHT Wrinkle plus paint. First time I have used it so was a bit nervous about the results but was happy in the end:
Before,
Straight after applying paint,
2 hours later,
then the finished product,
I am very happy with the results. I will post up the other covers as I do them...

I will be having to get mine soon so I have been looking at the prices around. So far the are all around the $780ish mark. Cheapest I could find was $774 with QBE but I will get an accurate price when I eventually come to get CTP...
-
Cheers dude yeah it DID look good didn't it lol Na I think you'll like it even better when it's finished!
Well you weren't wrong there. It looks pretty sweet. I agree with Notorius about the lip in the middle. But I will reserve my judgement until it is a finished item. Good work once again...

Here are a couple of pics I took with my phone while I was done at the shop this morning picking up the few parts in going to paint.
Engine out...
soon to be striped apart...
More updates/photos soon hopefully

Small update:
The engine is out and will be getting stripped starting tomorrow. Then the real work can begin!!
Will also be picking up the cam, valley and timing belt covers so I can get them painted. Not decided on a color yet but was thinking of just doing a simple coat of red wrinkle paint. Also re-painting the inlet manifold black or silver...
Will get pics of the progress up when I get a chance to get down to the shop (hopefully tomorrow)...

awesome work. Loving the Tein strut braces!
-
awesome car man. Love the pics, looks great.

I do like the look of the LMGT's on the R32. But I think I will have to wait a while and save up some monies before I can get some new wheels.
-
Yeah there certainly are a few R32 projects kicking about. Not surprising as they are awesome cars.
Not sure on the wheels, maybe work Xd-9s or enkei rpf-01. But open to suggestions...

They are indeed in Granville. Got one hell of a supra in the shop as well as some other cool project going on..
