  1. I had this happening to me - After indicating, the stalk would return to neutral but the clicking noise would continue double time.

I ended up taking the assembly off the column to test and i could see it shorting/arcing across the circuits when the stalk returned to the neutral position. I pulled the assembly apart, found the area that was causing the issue and cleaned it up a bit (there was grease everywhere and burnt circuitry in there). Put it all back together and it seemed to fix it for a while, but I think the damage was done and later it would short again intermittently. In the end, I just sourced a replacement stalk and threw away my old one.

Try pulling yours apart - you might be able to get away with just cleaning it up

  2. some tricky course layouts this time round and I had lots of fun - thanks to all involved with putting on the first DECA of the the year! crazy night activities didn't fail to disappoint either

  3. I get the same sound that you describe as well every now and then. Mine tends to happen at a certain engine load - I may be travelling in 4th at approx 60kmh, depress the throttle slightly due to a slight incline in the road and i get the noise. If I hold the throttle there and keep the engine loaded at that point, I can hold the noise. If I release the throttle or depress it further, obviously the load on the engine changes and the sound disappears. Kinda sounds a bit like faint feedback from speakers if you hold a microphone too close - but my stereo is never turned on.

My thoughts were that it is some sort of engine noise, possibly intake/turbo...

  4. yeah was a great day with some great courses throughout the day. The bus stop on the long wang was a lil trickier in the car than it looked on paper to get through quickly.

    thanks to everyone involved
