its defectable as any steering which is not the stock wheel intended for the car or manufacturer, must come with a certificate to verify it complies with the australian standards. they dont give ya a reason for it being defectable, they just ask to see the sticker which approves the wheel, if you dont have one its defectable

to get one you usually have to go out and buy both a momo steering wheel and momo boss kit for them to give you the sticker. (just using momo as an example)
