  1. Hehe... yeah.. it has been 4 years since i've had my R33 you know! I'm an old-new member, i'm mostly in Nissan Silvia forum now anyways. Back then I was the rare girl driving an import so it was rather intimidating to socialise with the community. Thanks, I guess a have an advantage in the wet as i'm not afriad to slide. I always try to be as interesting as possible (show pony!) How close was I to hitting the wall on the last corner coming to the back straight?! I almost sh*t myself... almost. Till next time fellas!
  2. Kev, Debra, Phil & Brett, Nice to see all of your familiar faces again. It was an awesome experience. I think I might have been bitten by the circuit bug thanks to my (I know you like this word Kev) "Virgin" run. :laughing-smiley-014: A thousand thanks to all the instructors, flag marshalls (Brett and Phil how did you like the massive slide on turn one?), caterer (I really didn't think the food was gonna be so lavish! I was expecting mystery bags and bread!), fellow drivers and the strange and friendly parrot. See you guys next round. Track slippery? Cheers, Lydz
  3. ok ok... guys... maybe saying 10mins was what made the arguments here... i agreee... everyone should not idle for too long... and should not start off and drive off.... once again... thanks for the lovely advice. reason i wanted to ask about warming up was because it is such a trivia thing but often over looked... and we should always keep up with the maintence of performance cars anyways. happy driving. love, redgurl
  4. thanks guys for the enthusiastic replies, i do appreciate them, i think i'd take less time to warm up my car from now on, but i still feel that starting the car and driving off is going to do mechanical harm. don't forget, it's a 10 year old car, and it's winter. maybe i'll time the warm up a little under 5mins. and keep my turbo timer on for 1-2mins after the first start up. cheers! and happy driving!
  5. just out of curiosity, how long on average do you take to warm up your car? i take at least one cigarette time to warm up (10mins approx), that is when i see the oil temp needle touches the first white line and my rpm sits around 900. i feel that it's a little long, and it doesn't help when i'm rushing to school. been considering a remote start too. comments? p.s i drive an R33 GTST M-spec
