  1. I may be an old fart, but I'm starting to learn a bit about Turbos, and all the newer stuff. Some is actually easier than the older.

  3. As it turns out, it had nothing to do with either the revolution sensor or the relay. It was a blown capacitor INSIDE the automatic transmission control unit. Simple fix once diagnosed correctly. Problem was found and fixed by "Russells Automatics" near Oxenford on the Gold Coast. Hope this helps someone. Going great again!
  4. I have a R32 auto import. The "Power" light flashes 16 times prior to start up (when ignition turned on) Then after start up, 2 long flashes and the rest are fast. I have found this to be "Revolution sensor shorted or disconnected" also known as code 54 on scan tool. (One mechanic said no power was getting to the "Revolution sensor") This is all fine, except no-one including auto electricians have any wiring diagrams for the imports. Niether does "Nissan". So I've started this forum for all the people that are having a hard time due to lack of local knowledge or suppliers. After generally messing around under the bonnet, I found I temporarily fixed it by bumping a relay titled "A/T IND" . I will replace this shortly to see if this is the cause. I know the " Revolution Sensor" gets it's power from the "Power light" and when this relay is removed, power light no longer functions. If anyone else has had a similar problem, any suggestions would be appreciated.
