  1. Yeah was on dyno just before changing turbo. Still overboosted with 14psi actuator and still choked up and wouldnt take timing.
  2. Replacing turbo eliminated the flat spot in the curv and is more efficient on less boost. And makes more power on 20psi than what the g3 made. G3 made 255 on 20 and highflow made 274 on 20. Everything on car is the same the only thing that has changed is the turbo itself. doesn't overboost like the g3 used to either, holds 14 psi flat to redline where the g3 spiked to 22psi then held 20psi and creeps to 24/25psi in higher revvs. Im not dissing your turbo by any means Stao, im just stating that in my personal case it was the turbo that was the problem.
  3. Wasnt tuner, ended up being restriction causing car to not take timing in that part of the map and if it had timing it would knock. dropped exhaust and everything with nothing changing. Ended up changing turbo to an Op6 r34 highflowed by gcg with 3076 core and made same power and torque on way less boost. And can now take Alot more timing and has smoother curve. So in my personal case it was the turbo that wasn't performing as meant to.
  4. Yeah I know, but I have the 2013 version atr43g3 and mine is doing pretty much exactly as described
  5. Did anyone find out what was causing this? As mine is doing a very very similar thing with the same turbo?
  6. Also here is a boost plot. Boost is middle column
  7. Thanks everyone for the help. Dump pipe is one of those bellmouth that are sort of flat and then goes to 3inch, if that makes sense. Could that be a restriction? Here is the fuel map
  8. He said that it knocked slightly but nothing near serious. He said that its like something is holding it back and thats when he said the manifold
  9. I changed my induction pipe to solid 4 inch yesterday instead of it stepping down to 3 inch. Tuner is going to print me out a picture of boost plot so will show that when I get it. Also going to change actuator to 14psi and run an eboost street to have high and low boost and get retuned. Here is a photo of my timing map
  10. A good way to tell if its cooler is to check pressure drop though right?
  11. Didnt get a print out of boost plot but spikes to 20.7 psi and holds 19.8 to 20.1 psi and doesnt drop
  12. Sorry forgot to mention that its running haltech inbuilt map sensor.
  13. Na I didnt drop the exhaust because I was pretty confident it wasn't a restriction at the time. Might do it once I get it back on the dyno after I change induction pipe to 4" and maybe see if there is a pressure drop through intercooler
  14. Hey guys I have been on this page for a little while but only used it for a reference sort of thing. But now I thought I would try my luck asking a question. I recently got my 33 gtst tuned and it has a flat spot in power curve. I basically just want to see if someone has had a similar problem and what they did to resolve it. Mods are. •Haltech platinum pro plugin. •Hypergear atr43g3 on standard exh mani •Nismo 740cc injectors •Ebay intercooler kit •3" bellmouth single piece dump pipe to 3" delete pipe and steps up to 4" before rear muffler. •Standard plenum •3" intake to pod filter and 2.5" cooler piping. •Tomei fpr Car makes 255.7rwkw on 20psi with bp98 which seems low compared to other peoples results. Have checked for boost leaks with none found. Tuner said that he thinks restriction is exhaust manifold but have heard of standard ones still getting 300kw etc. Has anyone had something similar? Regards Spencer
  15. 97 33gtst hypergear atr43g3 internal gate turbo, nismo 740cc injectors, haltech platinum pro plugin with air temp sensor wired in, yellow jacket coilpacks, tomei fuel pressure reg, 3" open bellmouth single piece dump pipe to decat pipe to 3.5" mid section and 4" at diff to rear muffler. Standard exhaust manifold and standard inlet plenum etc. Heavy duty clutch. 255.7rwkw on 20psi tuned by confidyne motorsport on their mainline dyno
