  1. Should be alright to ship the tyres to Australia. I dont' think customs will really care what it is for. All they care is GST. :) I'd be interested in finding out the GST and shipping for these tyres.

Wilzlee, let us know the address of the warehouse when you can!! Cheers mate!

  2. V35 is the current model of Nissan Skyline in Japan. The only other country that I am aware of selling that model of car would be the USA, under the badge of Infinity G35. V35 is the chasis designation of the car. It is no longer an "R" series (eg; R32, R33, R34), as the the engine is no longer RB series engine. It is now "V" series skyline, to go with the VQ series engine. Hopefully that answer your question.

  3. There are so many comment against turboing an NA engine. For one is that the internal is not as strong as the factory turbo setup engine. But how weak is the internal, in term of attaching a turbo to it?

I've seen a fair few automotive magazine from the States, with Greddy & HKS selling a bolt on Turbo Kit for the 350Z, and Greddy bolt on Turbo kit for those Hondas.

Wouldn't it be a fair argument to say that those 350Z and those hondas internal weren't meant for turbo charging, and therefore would not be as strong as.... say an RB25DET or other factory turbo setup engines?

Can some one shed a light on to this for me, so that I may understand more about what works and what dont?

  4. Interesting engine.....

Compression wise is still the same with the RB26DETT?

If it does, I wonder if It drives.

It's a nice rare engine. But I don't think it worth the price since now adays you can get a newer engine fron Nissan (even in NA) that has meet the 206kw japanese limit (on paper).

  5. haha the magic question

Yeah I stuck an R33 manifold and turbo on my one....but for the love of god get a MOTEC or Power FC or some sort of computer that is fully programmable...the 25GT ECU is a complete bastard with piggyback systems.

Are you saying that it is possible to use the Power FC ECU for RB25DET in the Turbo converted NA car such as yours?

  6. How much does RB30DE puts out?

One good reason to go with the VQ30DET is the configuration. Being a V6, it willl distribute the balance toward the firewall better. I don't know about side ways though. It seems there isn't too much space in the ER34 enginebay.

The daunting thing is that there aren't much aftermarket supports (i.e. ECU, Cams, etc.) that I can find regarding this engine.

  7. Just want to know what's everyone opinion on engine swap from RB25DE Neo to VQ30DET Neo? Do you think that will fit (since this is the engine that they are running on JGTC Skylines - except for the fact that it is VQ30DETT)?

VQ30DET Neo is in use on Nissan Gloria, and Cima.

    SPEC:

    VQ30DET NEO

    ・Power:206kW (280PS)/6000rpm

    ・Torque:387N・m (39.5kgm)/3600rpm

Of course the 206kw power figure might not be true, since it's Japanese limitation.

  8. I need help guys!!

I've just purchased an ER34 RB25DE NEO. I found this in the car, which no one I spoke to are able to explain to me what the heck this thing is and how to shut the light off.

Could some one tell me about this item?

Refer to the bottom right of the bigger picture for the location of the detailed picture.

I am guessing it is a service indicator light for the car, but what is it supposed to indicated? That it was serviced on 1000km and 5000km when it was first purchased?
