Pulled up in the right hand lane at the lights on pacific hwy to turn right to head towards hornsby, im sitting there next to an ambulance which is in the middle lane when suddenly i hear this roooowmmm mega downshift coming from my right on pacific hwy, i look up and see a silver r33 coming from hornsby side towards me to turn onto pennant hills rd, dude was coming in way to hot and straight away im like nope sorry buddy your gone! (i know the roads around here and that right turn is abit deciving as it has a kink and is off camber) the guy slid and gave his left rear wheel/guard a nice tap on the gutter/telegraph pole at id guess 50-60ks and stopped. at this point im like hrmm ohh thats right ive got an ambo next to me i wonder what he is thinking right now, so i look up to my left and there is the ambo driver sitting there with a cup of coffee in his left hand with a look on his face like omg wtf just happaned! he looks down at me because im waving my hands towards the r33 like ummm dude shouldnt you be like going to see if they are alright??

    lol he ambo driver understands,chucks his lights and siren on then makes his way over... traffic lights turn green and off i go.

    I hope whoever was in the car is ok and if the driver is a member on these forums...WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??

  2. my car was doing the exact same thing..rattling at certain revs i starting thinking all the bad things like turbo, gearbox etc ...turned out a weld on my cat had broken and two pieces were rattling against each other lol ! have you tried looking under the car to pinpoint the noise? that reminds me i gotta get around to spot welding that haha

  3. whats with the big bumb on the passenger side of s1 r33 at their right foot? what is under there? also whats the go with these leads under passenger and drivers seat that come out from under the car and have a little plug on the end,that sint plugged into anything? and one last thing do the s1 r33 have a low fuel light?

Hey guys got a near stock r33 s1 that has a pod filter, splitfire coilpacks,gfb blow off valve,3.5" turbo back zorst and running about 10 psi through stock turbo. now my problem is that when i rev the engine to 7k it pulls through out the range fine till around 6k hesitates for a split sec then goes and sometimes does this more than once between 6k-7k revs. it also stops doing this once i have reved it out all the way few times.

    one thing i noticed on a small inspection of the engine bay is my o2 senser??(thing that is plugged into my dump) was really loose so i tightened that all the way up yet hasent fixed it. im trying to think of what it could be any suggestions?

  6. fully insuring a car worth under 30k is totally not worth it when you can just get 3rd party for like 5th of the cost... doesnt make sense to me to pay thousands plus an excess for the "what if" chance when after like 3 years you have paid the price of the car...

  7. Hey guys recently did an oil change (car r33 s1 rb25det) with the same oil i have been using the last like 4 changes(magnatic) and something strange is happaning with my oil pressure gauge now.. let me explain,

    usually on cold start up in the mornings it sits just below 6 on the gauge then warms up abit and sits on 4,thats when i take off.

    Now after driving for a while it would have dropped a little under 4 unless you give it some and then it would raise pressure accordingly. After this oil change it now drops down to under 2 while driving around and idling also doesnt gain pressure as high when you give it some as it used to,im concerned about this as ive checked my oil level and it seems fine, what could this be?? and what is normal for other ppls oil pressure patterns?

  8. The dent is hardly anything, its roughly 30cm long from point to point starts at nothing to about 3cm deep at the end right near the tailight

    (picture a dent from hitting a guard rail at low speed) the paint is all still on it apart from a tiny bit flaking off at the end near taillight but thats only visable when really looking close. I was quoted roughly 500 when i had a panel beater look at it but thought the money would be better spend elsewhere and never had it fixed,it didnt bother me enough.

    The hicas lock is purely because if you have driven an r33 with hicas youll know you either like it or LOATHINGLY HATE IT haha, i hated it so i removed it.

    Another thing situations have somewhat changed a little so a update to price
