  1. Hi Guys,

I have my daily driver up for sale/swap. As im looking for a S2 R33 GTS-T.

    Details;

99' (air con, power steer, etc.)

    Silver

    Around 92,000KM

    Manual

    1.5L (Very Economical)

    Full logbooks/service history

    8 Months rego

This car has just clicked past 90,000. It will come with the full 100,000KM service completed (including timing belt change, etc.) Worth $$$$

The car is in great condition, a lady owner before me, and has full logbooks/service history. The car has a couple minor trolley/shopping dents on the left hand door. (nothing major)

The interier is in perfect condition.

Mech A1 and comes with full service (as listed above)

If anyone has a S2 R33 GTS-T Manual (Pref Silver or White, I will be willing to do a trade + Cash) This has been a great daily driver for the past 6 months. It would suit someone looking for a economical daily.

    Pics avalable on request.

  2. To add 1 more thing;

I have been told the S2 had a stiffer suspension option, With heavy duty springs.

I have driven a S2 with this apparent option, It was defently differant to the stock setup, Im unsure if it is factory optioned or aftermarket, But several importers have told me its an option.

    Any one care to explain?

  3. Theres so many cars coming in, You cant say all are wound back or all are not.

My friend imported a S2 R33 in 00' with 56,000KM (appeared to be genuine, the car was like brand new).

He had it for 3 years, sold it with 70,000KM.

    Thats about 4.500KM per year.

It was taken out every second weekend, When people saw the import papers they questioned the KM and automaticly ruled out that the car could not have been driven only 14,000KM in 3 years. and let alone have 70,000km since 96'.

Some cars are daily's some are not.

  4. Hey champ, After seeing the photo, Thats pretty much where the one in my R33 was.

Its also weird that you dont have a dimmer switch as ive said previously I think there needed for compliance.

Maybe remove one of the bottom pannels and see if you can see any taped up or broken wires which would have led to the dimmer switch.

You can find some pretty weird things with imports (and all cars for that matter). On my R33, I found signs of previously installed boost gauge and several other things, behind the dash. (taped up wires and a blocked hose from the plenum, etc).

    cheers.

  5. IMO The S2 is a nice car, Newer, Air bags, More refined front end, Much nicer front bar. etc

Ive recently sold my S1 and now buying a S2.

If your going with the basic exhaust, air filter, front mount, etc. Make sure you get a Power FC, You will see a huge difference with a good computer supporting these mods.

One of the first mods i will be doing is exhaust & power fc.

  6. use a grinder to cut the front bar, and when you get a hole saw to drill the 76mm hole in the side wall thing you will need to get a bit of primer to prevent rust

What parts of your bar did you cut?

I had a S1 with the bar cut right out and it looked :)

Im getting a S2 shortly and want to keep the front bar stock looking. But will want a front mount.

    Sorry for the O/T.

  7. Its not the compliance plate, its just a plate which is on the drivers side of the car, on the wheelmound (I think) its about 12 digits/numbers long and says nothing else.. theres nothing in the hole its just a hole in the panel.. what do you mean by the dimmer switch? I dont know what that is soz...... Thanks heaps for your help

Sorry i cant really help you with the Plate. Maybe take a pic? Call revs and have the cars history checked.

The Dimmer Switch is the button/turn knob that makes the dash lights bright/dim (your speed light control). In skylines they are not a OEM item and are put in for australian complaince, Due to regulations. (Like i said, Correct me if im wrong, But all skylines i have seen in Aus had these dimmer switches installed for complaince).

They are usally drilled into the dash somewhere, I have had 2 skylines, 1 was under the steering wheel, And the other was to the left of the steering wheel.

    Cheers.

  8. Imports have been the best cars i have owned.

Im currently looking for a S2 R33 and will go directly to an importer. Its pretty easy to determine KM on condition.

And if you are getting it checked by a pro, Like NRMA or what not, They go nuts on the car, And pick up practicly everything.

It not just imports its all cars, The best car i have ever owned was my S1 R33. The build quality is awsome on these imports IMO.

  9. Was the hole the dimmer switch?

I know that skylines dont have these stock and there put in for compliance (someone correct me if im wrong, But all Skylines ive seen have them after compliance).

Maybe it has fallen out? Been removed..etc?

Also, are you talking about the compliance plate? Where was it located and what color was it?
