    Fs: R33 Gtst S1 Auto Cheap

    Car: 1993 r33 gtst

    Drivetrain: rb25 auto

    Colour: Maroon

    Rego: NSW rego 7months

    Price: $2500, May swap for car or a boat.

    reason for sale: Turbo is blown and have no money time or motivation to fix it.

    Car is still drivable as i pulled all the smic and intake off and just running it n/a atm but under hard throttle it will smoke cause of the turbo

    Think im over the whole car scene all together .Body is in good condition panel wise.

    Paint has clear coat peeling in some spots.

    Front right shock is gone and will need replacing

    Have took the original spoiler off and pluged the holes with rubber gromits Spoiler went in the bin

    Alternator or fanbelt Squeels on startup for 5secs-20secs depends on how it feels

    Have all the parts except the standard airbox.

    Interior is in fair condition for its age

    This is defiantly a fixer uper if you have the time or funds

    Ebay Turbo Bolt On For Rb25

    Hey guys i have blown my turbo couple of months ago and car is sitting there collecting dust

    have searched the forum for answers but did not come up with any.

    Has anyone had any good feedback with any ebay turbos made from Au

    seen alot on ebay and would rather get some feedback on some brands before i make a purchase

    I do not wanna buy another standard one to see the ceramic wheel fail again

    and do not wanna get one high flowed to have to get a tune.

    Just want a decent standard bolton to run lowboost

    price range $400-500

    There has to be some people with good results with a ebay turbo on a standard tune

    Hey mate I have a Auto 33 with a blown turbo in penrith

    Engine still runs perfect just makes no boost and blows smoke under hard acceleration

    Body and interior is in good Condition has 11months rego or so

    Paint is rough clear coat peeling in some areas and oxidization on roof

    Chasing 3k as i payed 3.5k with no rego then registered it

    If i don't sell before next month i will keep it

    Any Interest dont hesitate to ask

    Alternator/starter Motor Issue

    When you say the alternator is screeching, do you mean the altenator is screeching or the belt is squealing?

    The only 2 noise related problems you can have with an altenator are belt loose/worn or the altenator bearings have gone or started to go.

    Check the basics first because they are cheaper, a new belt (or tightening the belt) is alot cheaper then getting a new altenator

    As for the starter clicking/sticking then this wont be an altenator issue unless the charge is down. If you have a turbo timer or Power FC Hand controller, set it up so you can see voltage all the time and check the voltage before starting and while starting. If there is low voltage on startup then you either have a stuffed battery or the altenator isnt charging. If the voltage drops from 12(ish) volts to below 8V (from memory) then you will have a battery problem.

    Im pretty sure its the alternator bearings

    my thoughts the alternator is not charging the battery back to full enough just keeping it low

    Won't be the wastegate that's faulty if it was working connected directly to boost source before and giving correct boost. Will definitely be the controller. Pics of controller or link to ebay page?

    I have owned the turbotech one everybody uses with great results

    i just thought this one would have been easier turning the dial instead of having to find a allen key

    apparently not

    Faulty Wastegate?

    So today i installed a ebay special boost controller

    I had the solenoid bypassed before to hit full boost through the rev range

    I have connected it all propely wastegate to the ic pipe and blocked off the other hose.

    All the way turned down will get to +7 at only 1/4 throttle and i can definatly feel there is too much boost

    I was just trying to achieve the same boost i had with the solenoid then put it at 11psi when the gauge is installed

    should i be throwing the boost controller in the bin?

    looking at the wastegate spring?

    I have bought a r33 gtst

    and it came with a problem starting it like a sticky solenoid and what i thought was belt squeal on startup

    So i got the battery checked and charged fully

    Changed the starter motor Problem solved.(Or so i thought it was)

    Bout a month later the problem came back the sticky solenoid issue.

    it was happening rarely once a week, but now its consistent with every startup

    Also the alternator squeal has got worse witch on startup if it is screeching the Hicas light

    turns on and i lose power steering and the lights dimmer.

    Could the alternator be causing the starter motor issue making it feel like a sticky solenoid

    as maybe the battery is not charged properly

    It sits at 13v or so under no stress and seems to be keeping itself at that level?

    anybody came across a issue like this

    Yeah, that was actually a pretty poor troll attempt. Calling me out on my bike, which is actually a pretty damn decent sports bike as it is lol.

    If you're just trolling, well done. If you're being serious and somehow deluded into thinking you're funny and making good calls, you best climb out of the hole you're digging while you can still reach the surface.
