  1. 230rwkw is plenty for a street car which is daily driver but if you can get more with the right turbo setup that would be even better. Also, considering it's an auto I prefer nice and early spool over full boost high in the rev range.

Any one got a "recipe" what needs to be done to the 25de to handle the power apart from the valve springs. What can you reuse from the rb20det and the rb25de?

Would you end up with 2.5l capacity or can you also use gtr crank and rods with different pistons and change the capacity?

  2. Booster - did you rebuild the RB25de from R32?

I was also thinking of going RB25/30 but want to keep my Auto box, which means I'll also have to keep my 7500 RPM rev limit.

So now I'm thinking what can be done with the current RB20 setup together with a R32 RB25de I have sitting in the garage.

I'd be happy with reliable 220-230 rwkw.

  3. Hi, just wondering, if you were to add a complete RB25DE from an R32 to this scenario, what could you do to mix and match and produce a nice package?

Would you be able to create a nice RB25DET from the 2 engines combined considering that the Power FC, injectors and other bits are straight fit onto RB25DE from an R32.

  4. Yep, Autostyle has them but won't sell them. Dominic actually said if he was to sell them he'd want $800 or so but he won’t.

Also, they are not road legal as they don't have the parking lights.

    I've looked everywhere for these.

I actually found a Jap company that use to make them but it's a discontinued product.

  5. Hey gaffa, can you please answer the above question.

I'm interested in this conversion as well as I had a slight stuff up with my rear end and finding it hard to source 4 door parts. Also I don't mind the look of a 2 door rear end and if possible I would use the 2 door parts.

    Thanx

  6. Hey Sydneykid,

Just had all the suspension gear installed today, and I'm stoked with the result. The ride height is spot on (I used the standard Bilstien circlip setting), now I just have to hope I don't scrape my exhaust of a speedbump or the like...

    Thanks again, Ryno

    Hi Ryno,

what is your height from the centre wheel to guard front and rear?

  7. I got my kit last week and got it installed on the weekend.

My height before putting the kit in was 320mm at the fronts and 290mm at the rears. Bouncy :D:)

Now with the kit in and on the setting one groove bellow the one it comes out of box, but which still looks like a standard groove coz it's painted yellow, is 330mm front and 320mm rears. I expected it to be higher than that.

The ride is obviously much better than what I had before but it seams to be a bit harsh especially up to 40 km/h on rough roads.

I didn't cut my bump stops and that could be the reason for extra harshnes. I checked at the back with the car on the flat surface and there is only about 2cm space between the shock and the bump stop. Is that sufficient enough or should I cut them? How much travel does the shock need? I couldn't check the fronts.

Also, I couldn't go any lower than one groove coz the spring wasn't getting captured.

I haven't done the wheel alignement yet as I'm waiting for my HICAS bar to go in. So just to confirm the settings before I go:

    Front:

    Caster:

Around 7 degres with slighty more on LHS

    Camber:

    Around 1 degree neg

    Toe:

    1 to 2 mm out

    Rear:

    Camber:

    0.5 degree neg

    Toe:

    1 to 2mm out

    Does this sound right?

    Just to confirm it's a 4 door R32 gtst.
