I get these guys in commodores revving it up when they go past me, hahaha, stupid auto statesmans, oh and this other dude who has a bodykitted honda accord does the same thing, it sounds like a mosquito with a microphone hahahaha. And once this camry pulled up next to me in car park and wanted a drag, and i just ignored him, then he proceeded to do the worst burnout ive ever seen, i was LMAO.

Got Alpine SPR-174A 2 Way 6.5" Coaxials for rears in my SII R33 Sedan, fit perfectly with no mods except to remove the child restrainsts, as they wouldnt sit over the speaker because of the tweeters. I was told that fronts would take an Alpine R series 6" split, not sure how reliable that info is though.

Ok sorry, maybe my question wasnt too clear, i was looking for the general idea of what will fit under the standard sedan guards and if i would have the ability to use the same sizes as those on the coupes, or if anyone had experience with large wheels on a sedan. I read a post where someone has the same car as mine with some suspension mods, and has R33 GTR wheels, which scrub at full lock. All my suspension and braking components are standard, so basically what can fit under there without flaring the guards/changing suspension, and wouldnt rub the tryres.

Thanks for the info
Well im going to assume that the coupe and sedan wheel sizes are the same, what size tyres are generally recommended for 8in wide wheels on a skyline? BTW what are cheap tyres that would fit 17x8s or 18x8s as i live in broome and the roads are crap, just chew new sets of tyres on gravel roads .
cheers

Hi just did a quick search and couldnt find this info. Are wheel sizes/offsets the same for coupes and sedans? What is the largest wheel/tyre combo that could fit under the guards without needing to to be pumped/flared? Im looking at getting some 18x8s, or is it better to just get some 17x8s and spend the savings on something else? Is it better to run 7.5in wide tyres up front and 8in wide tyres out back? or have the same width all round?
Any help would be appreciated
cheers

Hmmm thats an important consideration about dust and the OEM filter. I found this thread
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ight=pipercross
Sydneykid seems to recomend the pipercross filters and they come for $60, thinks they are better than the K&N, i havent seen him be wrong about anything, and he doesnt normally state anything without good reason. Anyone else had experience with these filters? Apparently oild filters are ok in WA, not sure how reliable the info is though.
thanks for the help

BTW since this original post. I have had a HKS panel filter - Wouldnt really recomend it, not great filtration, and i now use the pipercross filter, much better design 3 different foam elements, plus comes with an oil/pressurised can of spray (not 100% sure what it does, i assume its an oil) which i apply after washing the filter every 2000kms.

Hahaha, benm i just say $150 cos i went into Autopro and they had to check prices, then rang me up at 8.30 in the morning (i work 10pm until 3am), and they have to get it up to broome, but maybe he was talking about a dodgy pod filter? Once again thanks for the info/opinions. I love SAU for stuff like this .

Too bad your alpine is gone, as alpine now make a ainet connector/cable to hook ipods up to Alpine gear.

Cheers guys
Some good info to think about. Probably go the K&N then.
Yeah 3LITE FORS3, nice and hot, probably between 30-34 right now, must be about same where you are are. Only 2 Skylines here and the others a black SI Coupe with a bit of work done, but scrapes on everything as our roads are crap. Ive actually had to wind the boost down to stock now, need to put octane boost in as no one here sells BP Ultimate just normal premium 95 RON .

Hi
Just wandering if anyone would know what the best replacement panel filter for a stock airbox on a SII R33 GTS25T would be. I can get:
Unifilter - $65
HKS - $70-90
K&N - $150?
I only have a 3in straight through muffler and upgraded clutch and run 10psi boost. Everything else is stock. Btw i live in Broome, high heat and a lot of dust stop me from deciding on a pod filter.
Any help would be appreiated.
cheers

Nice ive got a SII R33 Sedan, found any nice body kits? Im thinking of keeping mine fairly stock, no major mods apart from upgraded clutch and 3in straight through muffler? I see you have the coupe indicator assembly as well, do you have the fog lights hooked up? BTW where did you get the clear side indicators? Keep up the good work, the SII sedans are sweet and yours is real nice

Need to get it wired up. BTW that info on the globes would be interesting as i was thinking about the same upgrade, please post info if/when you get it

IS the condition of the spoiler good? I may be interested if you have pics. I have SII 5 Speed R33 Sedan that needs a spoiler. Cheers

I believe carmate.com.au have some kits for R33 as well as R34 sedans, dont know how good they are though. BTW does anyone know if the R34 front bumpers or any other bodykit parts will fit a R33 SII sedan? Because they look fairly similar except the headlights. Although i have never seen an R34 sedan in the flesh.

Yeah battery placement is weird, my SII R33 Sedan has the battery at the front drivers side of engine bay, and overflow bottle on the right hand side near air filter box. Im gonna have to run a power cable to my boot soon as well. Although with no battery in the boot that little shelf makes a nice spot to mount an amp and sub.

I got the autowatch installed in my car with the inbuilt turbo timer option and ive never had a problem with it. It was installed when i bought my car from Autoworx. Cost me $450 for the 456 RLI remote alarm immobiliser. Euro Auto Electrical did the install.

I did this today and there is a noticeable difference down low. Also my SII R33 Sedan the wiring was different, the ground was in fact black, so its a good idea to do as Topkart suggested. I also added a switch in the engine bay, and mounted it above the solenoid, as i couldnt be bothered to wire thru to my dash and drill holes to mount a switch.

By the way the red/purple wire is luminance/dimmer. You can find the same wire on the cigarette lighter. Also im allmost positive that is the same deck (the one removed in the guide) that you will find in a 98 nissan patrol.

R33 SII Sedans have the variable antenna switch, im allmost positive that its the same as found in a 97 Nissan Patrol. Very likeyl you could get the parts direct from nissan. Hope that helps.
