  1. A member emailed me about the HKS FconV. He didn't leave his name....when i tried to return his email, i got an error and my email was returned.....if this was you, I am sorry...please contact me again.
  2. no idea, as it was never sold in Australia. I can tell you that some of the used parts performance shops were selling up to $900.....check with them yourself. BD4s are the people to speak to in Sydney about tuning this unit...they seem to know the most about it. Daniel.
  3. I have had this unit for a while now and i want to get rid of it. I wanted $500 for it, but if someone offers $400, it is theirs. It comes complete with the harness. I think it is a bargain at $400......BD4s in Sydney definately tune this unit so give them a call f you have any questions. I have "sold" it twice in the past few weeks, and the lads that wanted it backed out at the last minute. If you really want it, then email me and it is all yours. [email protected]
  4. I still have that cluster if you are still interested....had a few inquiries but I forgot about it. If you are still interested you can have it for $70.....otherwise I will readvertise it.
  5. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a used FCON V for a r32 or r33 GTR. some say this unit is better than power FC.....BD4's in Sydney definately can tune this unit. It comes with the harness/loom. I want $500 for it (offers OK). It is located in Sydney. [email protected] or call Sam: 0400 443 266

  7. I have a used cluster for a r32 gtr. It is in excellent condition with no scratches on the panel. It is showing a few kms (169000km) , so I am asking only $250 for it... email me: [email protected] or call Sam 0400 443 266. I am located in Sydney...
  8. Does anyone know if a car DVD player from Japan will play Aussie DVDs. I am thinking about the difference in regions...
  9. Absolutely no chance of haggling in Japan....you will find the prices of most things in Nipponbashi to be almost the same from shop to shop. Just be careful about cams.....I know lots about the Sony DSC cams and if you buy a Japanese domestic model, you can still change to English/;PAL/ and use 240v....but you won't get an English manual Some of the shops in Nipponbashi (nicknamed denden town) carry international models... The markets....mate, don't waste your precious holiday time......alot of the markets in japan sell used clothes at ridiculous prices....new clothes are cheap enough, but you have to watch for really dodgy english on T-shirts. If you wear anything larger than an M size is Australia, you are gonna struggle.....for jeans, pants....larger than a 34.....no chance. I would spend the money and go to Universal Studio Japan....the only thing is, you are coming here during school holidays...you will be pretty overwhelmed by the crowds i think....
  10. mmmmmmm..... if you have a degree......any type of degree.... you can get a job teaching English....this usually gives you a three year visa....in this time, you get to know Japan, how things work, and then you can try to do your own thing. I am still doing the English teaching thing......work for myself and earn more than enough money working just 25 hours a week....if you don't have a degree and are under 30 (i think) you can come over on working holiday visa. This allows you to stay for a maximum of one year and work 20 hhours a week. 20 hours should pay around 200000yen. My younger bro, 26 yo, will be over in September for a year. For any young single guy, it is probably one of the best places to be.......easy job, great looking woman, lots of boyz toyz..... another way.......marry a Japanese chick! I live in a rural part in Japan....i can sometimes hear the lads drifting in the mountains on a windy night. I used to have a GTiR pulsar.....my Japanese mates over here told me to be careful as my car could well end up stolen by these guys if I am not careful.....never thought twice about leaving my car unlocked over here......
  11. I was urged by another member to introduce myself in the Japan section... I am Aussie living in Japan. I have been here for five years ans self-employed in Nara. Does anyone know Kashihara City? Well this is near where I live....actually, I live more in a more rural area....house, garden, and vegetable patch... I am not a skyline owner at the moment....until April I had a GTiR Pulsar as my ride. When its shaken finished this year, I exported to Australia under the personal import rule.... I have a few good makes in the used automotive industry, and quite often get decent parts they don't want....so, if you ever need anything drop me a line.... If anyone is in this part of Japan, drop me a line and I'd be happy to show you around a bit...
  12. sorry, I guess being in Japan puts me somewhat out of the loop, about price of GT-Rs on Japan.... the GT-R is one car that is `shaken` proof....as you all know, the Japanese rego system is pretty tough and most cars aren't kept by their owners.....The GT-R is an exception....it is a very very popular car for local lads..... as for the GT-Rs for sale in Japan.....I can assure you that an early model GT-R, in good condition, with relatively low mileage (under 80k) still fetches decent money in Japan. The GT-Rs that you hear about going for 10k in Japan are the rough ones....and believe me, there are lots of rough skylines in japan....No doubt the number of skylines exported to Australia, NZ, and GB, also has an affect on local price too.....I owned a GTiR Pulsar here, and in the 3 years I had it, I saw perhaps only 4 others on the road.....i always say more on the road in Australia when home for xmas....
  13. i am surprised more 15 yo old cars don't find their way to australia....there are a few nice oldies in japan that i never saw on return trips to OZ. anyone seen a Nissan Cima or Gloria? nice big cruisers....the newer model Cima is a great looking car, I just cant understand why Nissan Australia deprive the local market of such cars....
  14. Hi guys, I am an aussie living and working in Japan.....just thought I'd mention that the first of the R32s were released in Japan in the Japanese year Hesei2. The year here now is Hesei 16....this means the very first models will be 15 years old. what does this mean??? well lots.....under the current regulations, 15 year old cars can be imported into Australia without the need of compliance....no RAWS! there is only the blue slip to worry about..... Just took a look at current prices here for skylines... A nice R32 GT-R can be bought here for around 20k australian..... The standard R32 GTS-T is at giveaway prices....under 4k for something nice.... food for thought.... My other prediction....you will see a shitload of MX-5s coming into australia under the 15yo rule....they are EUNOS roadsters here in Japan.....they are bloody cheap here...
  15. have an orignal cluster from a R32 skyline. It is is good condition. I am located in Sydney. I wanted $100 for it but little interest...make me an offer! Please email: [email protected] or phone Sam 0400443266. Only genuinely interested buyers.... thanks.
