  2. Gday all,

Ill start this by stating I have searched and also read through a few really good DIYs so have checked off, what i think, all the simple stuff.

Vehicle in question is R32 GTST with RB25det and matching R33 gearbox.

So, ive bleed my clutch before but this time I have swapped out the master cylinder for a R33 item and also replaced the factory line with a braided line. Started bleeding away just like should be done however am getting no where. Its become apparent when I open the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder its sucking in a heap of air before depressing the clutch to continue the bleeding procedure. The slave piston is also pushing out when the bleed nipple is opened and the air is sucked in.

Is something out of alignment so its not pushing the slave piston when it should? Am I doing something wrong, rookie mistake etc etc??

Dont want to take it to someone to get it done, would prefer to increase my knowledge and get it done correctly.

    Cheers!

  3. Noticed the false floor you put in under the pedals. How did that go? Looks like yove fixed it directly to the floor however others that ive seen have been about 5cm above the floor. How have you found it?

  4. I think the existing hose clamps had been on a off a few times are were warping as others have said, i hadnt changed them since buying the car.

I have had the engine out at DVS Jez workshop and he changed an engine mount while it was there if my memory is correct. But i will stick my head under the car and double check.

Yep thats the other thing i did, put a bead on all the pipes that didnt have one so there is something to grip against.

  5. Gday everyone,

Ive been having some dramas with intercooler piping blowing off ( RB25DET series 2, standard turbo [12 PSI only], front mount intercooler and front facing plenum in a R32) so have replaced all the joiners with new silicone joiners and T bar clamps on the whole lot.

On the hot side, there is 10 to 20mm movement, by hand, of the piping. Common sense tells me this is needed as the engine will move under load etc but i dont want it to be a cause for pipes to continue blowing off.

Should the moventment be a problem?

    Cheers

  6. Well been a while since ive updated this.

Winton Matsuri didnt go well, kept blowing off intercooler piping all weekend. Got about 5 half laps in.... For those 5 half laps I was alive......

Have to admit there were no problems other than the cooler piping blowing off.

Was fairly pissed off for most of the weekend so not many pics

So to fix the problem, i flared the pipes, new silicone joiners, new t-bar clamps on all the silicone joiners
