If your a student and dont have extra money to fork out to fix a 15 year old GTR (which will need alot of fixing) stick to a 96 R33. There are soooo many R33's around at every import yard these days!!!

Funky must have missed last seasons 5th gear where vicki butler had the new vantage and was trying to do some skids and the powersteering belt kept coming off requiring aston techs to fly down by helicopter to fix it on the spot, not 1'c but 3 times!!!

Thermal shock is when things cool 2 quickly and cause damage. There is no way to cool the turbo suddenly, unless u pull it off and drop it in a bucket of ice or something stupid like that. The turbo will either cool slowly and have oil/water flowing throught its bearings and core, or if you just shut down the engine it will cool very very slowly which is no good

ed those are the diameter differences. I al talking about the distance the caliper sits out more towards the rim with these gtr calipers as your changing the bolt locations as per what roy said. 324 - 296mm is 28mm sure. But thats the difference in daimeter. You only offset the caliper to suit the radius. So only moves them out 14mm. And since you are only moving them out 14mm, you cant use the same centre holes so need bracket like yours which will also roll the caliper around further so that it can be bolted back in place. So the caliper will now be mounted closer to the 9 o'clock position, where as std they are more up around the 10 o'clock position of the rotor. So u need wheel clearnce around your current rims or get a bigger offset front rims. RUS (sau member) recently got imported a r33 with brembo 4 pots and huge rotors and he cant get the 17 inch rims with the semi comps he used on the stock 4 pot gts-t calipers to fit on

That toyo tyres vp wagon is preety quick. It was at the wrx sandown day also. Its running a meaty sounding V8 with side pipes, good suspension setup, big slotted rotors and atleast 4 pot brembos, stripped interior and semi comp tyres. Was there a light blue coloured VL exec also there? It was quick also at sandown

It is easy enough to do yourself with a friend on a hoist and then get proper wheel alignment done? Did my swaybars and doing my new springs with friend soon also, wasent to hard.

Sydneykid How much would labour be you think roughly at any of your recommended install shops to install the front castor kit, front/rear camber kits and subframe alignment?

To clear things up gtr 324mm front rotors will make the gts-t caliper sit out only 14mm closer to the rim

I have some 7 month old hankook silica 104's in 235 x 2 and 255 x 2. Still have 80% thread left back are a bit scorched but still 80 odd %. I want more than $150 a pair tho, so i can get some semi comps
