  1. 'R' grade simply means structural repairs were carried out on the vehicle. As an example that stagea must have had a big hit in the front end and owner at that time decided to do a R34 conversion as he was having to buy most front end parts/panels anyway.
  2. Not really, the 'R' means structural repair. If cars have had just panels like fenders replaced or aftermarket bonets etc, those will be marked with a "XX" on the report and such cars can get upto 4.5 grade as they didnt have any major damage. 'R' comes into the picture when inner panels behind the outer ones have repairs on them or are bent.
  3. Not as simple as going to a website japantradecar and get a prefectly cheap car, look at the auction report for this car below (match the vin)
