  1. Interesting point.

I'm not really 100% sure at the moment but i reckon it feeds off a big hose comin out the top of the tank. Could be wrong so dont quote me on this. Havent really looked under the car for a while. I'm pretty sure if i mount the pump low enough in relation to the tank it should half by gravity feed out of the tank once the flow starts. But then again it might not.

  2. Too hard as in cant be bothered and dont wanna spend money on it. If i was to put in a surge tank i would have to buy or make one then buy a low pressure pre pump for the tank and i'm not keen to spend anything on it cos need the money to build the motor in my DR30.

As i said its my daily driver so i'm doin it all on the cheap and effective.

Any tips on the actual job i'm doin would be much appreciated.

    Cheers Mick.

  3. yeah can weld but surge tank is way too hard.

Car is only my daily driver thats why i'm using this pump so it doesnt cost me anything.

Basically just sussing it out cos prolly gonna pull tank out on saturday to do it.

  4. Dunno if this has been discussed already but i'm looking to convert my R32n to an external fuel pump cos i cant be farked buying a new internal pump for it. I have a good VL turbo pump out of my DR30 (upgrading that car to bigger pump) and was wondering if many people have done this already. I'm a mechanic so i'm doin it all myself (obviously) and just hoped someone has any hot tips.

    Cheers Michael.

  5. I went through an RBT at the bay late last year on my way home from a karting dinner with my old man in th car. Was in my DR30. Drivers window wasn't working at the time so had to open the door very obviously revealing my half cage. My screamer pipe was leaking a little bit at the time as well. Car is pretty much low as you can go. Cop commented on the trophies on my back seat that i had won for my years racing. Let me go when the reading was all clear.

    Just gotta be lucky sometimes.

  6. Yeah you'd wanna have someone lined up to buy it first. They are awesome cars but there is a very limited market for them. Like all nissans many bits can be interchangeable but some stuff can be tricky to find. Either way i love my DR30 and would never sell it.

Would be nice to see more gettin round. Love the old school jap.

  7. Yep i got defected in my daily driver R32 on sat night. its pretty standard. all i done is lowered it and painted the stock wheels white to try and dress it up a bit. i'm booked in to regency on monday 2nd july at 8am at a cost of $132 plus i need the time off work to get there. I asked why the copper is choosing to defect my car when its pretty stock. its a bit too low big whoop. Would have been nice if they did more to try and find my old R32 that stolen earlier this year. lost a solid $6000 when that car never turned up again.

Funny how i never had any problems when i used to drive my shitty old 120y around.

  8. I'll probably be takin my DR30 out there to the nats. Wont be pullin fast times but will be good fun to do infront of such a big crowd. Cant wait.

I'll probably go to one of the wednesday night drags before to practice a little.

  9. Anyone in adelaide who is need of any DR30 bits and pieces should contact me cos i have a complete car that i am wrecking and badly need to get some money together. I'm not sure how much some things are worth so just make me an offer and we can go from there.
