  3. Still Selling Remeber all the price is negotiable - within reason. This is a Brand New item and replaces the dated looking painted verson which is on most R33s out there! Suits any R33 and would be a cheap yet effective cosmetic upgrade for those that dont have one. Glen

  5. 1996 R33 GTR V-SPEC Series 2 with only 49000 kms on clock. Silver in colour with the standard black front lip spoiler. This car is still not fully tuned, but should produce between 330 - 350 kw (20 psi) at 4 wheels and cut 11 quarters. This car is a genuine V-SPEC, I checked this thouroughly before purchase. It is in very good condition (Front seat, Steering wheel, Gear lever are perfect) and is my sunday driver. It has a long list of mods including: Apexi Pod filters and filter piping kit. Z32 Airflow meters Trust T517z turbos Blitz 300x600x110 Intercooler Two Turbosmart Plumback BOVs Sard Fuel Pump Sard Fuel Regulator Denso 700cc Injectors Custom Catch Can Most of motor components have been polished - looks awesome. I have only owned it for a year (since 09/03) and it owes me 62000. Price: $48 000 - only a few thousand more than standard R33 GTRs with the same kilometres. I am a fussy car owner - any buyer would be getting a very tidy GTR indeed I have a CD full of pictures, film and info pages to be sent to prospective buyers upon request.   7. Guilt - toy, I just posted a message expressing interest in getting a water spray for my cooler - I would definitely think it would have a cooling effect, especially in hotter weather. Evaporating water combined with wind can substantially reduce the temp of an object. Try it on your skin with saliva (Assume the saliva is the same temp as your body). Lick your hand and blow on it. Does it feel cool or hot?
  8. Hi all, My car is still waiting for its proper tune - still waiting for a sydney based tuner. Please hurry Martin (AKA: Dino d'Martino) if your reading this. I have noticed recently how hot the intake temp for air is. I have a sensor connected to the plenum read by my ECUs Hand Controller (Power FC). On hot days I am getting inlet temps of 50 - 54 degrees Celsius (After intercooler) around town and 45 - 49 degrees on the highway. I have Apexi pod filters - but no partition. My intercooler is a 3 month old blitz LM Vspec (300 x 600 x 110 - tube and fin) - so it should be doing a decent job. I obviously need a partition for my filters + maybe water spray for my intercooler. Does anyone else have inlet temps monitored and if so what does it sit at on a hot day in town or highway? Just want to know if my temps are unusually high. Thanks all - Glen
  9. jezzerrr, had the same problem with my 33 GTR when I first bought it. I would smell gearbox oil fumes whilst driving. The problem was a split in the small seal below my gear stick, that was allowing fumes to leak into the cabin. I got a mechanic to change it - part was 25 bucks (From nissan) and labour was 50. They accessed the seal by removing the gear stick boot. Apparently there are two seals, a larger one and a smaller one. The smaller one was split. Hope this helps.

  12. Mik, Your not alone. I have a pair of Trust T517z in my R33, not sure how these compare to GT - Rs, I think they are close in term of total output power (330 - 360kw at 4 wheels on 22psi). I also have a susbtantial amount of lag over the stock items - to be expected. I seem to have full boost at about 4800 - 5000. I have done many of the other mods you mentioned and have been brainstorming ideas to lower my lag time with little success - came to a similar conclusion cams, cam gears, etc. Wonder how quick a pair of 2510s spool up? - pity it would be a massive top end sacrifice!

I have recently done a fairly major build with my R33 GTR including Trust T517z turbos, 700cc injectors, pump, reg, Intercooler, z32 afms, pods, etc. During the build I had a power Fc installed, although no one locally (North Queensland) can tune the thing properly! I have tried two places in Cairns and one in Townsville with little success. The car is running ruch, has a flat spot at 1700rpm and is not performing to potential. The package above should yeild 300 - 340 4wkw at 20 - 22 psi, which should be impressive compared to the 175 4wkw R33 GTRs run standard. I do not feel an improvement of this magnatude at all. I am confident that mechanically everything is fine - many compression tests, flow tests, etc have been done. I could truck it/ drive it to Brisbane, Buy a DataLogit unit from NZ (Do they even help?) or get a tuner from a reputable garage to send me tuning info - Im not sure which way to go. Im frustrated and at this time any advice would be muchly appreciated. Thanks.
  14. Hi all, Iam a new member to this forum and live all the way up north in Atherton ( 120 kms West of Cairns!). I own a R33 GTR V-spec and am keen to set up a system that allows rear wheel drive operation for dyno days we have up here (Only two wheel dynos are used!). Competition is not that feirce and with a newly acquired Trust turbo set - up I think I can place well in the 6 Cyl category. Problem is no - one can tell me how to do this! I know R33's dont have a quick fix solution (Fuse out like in R32s) and Iam dying to find out - can anyone help me! Thanks for all advice.
