  1. Mmm I wish he would hurry up so I can get them to my installer and work out what else I require to get my car running hunky dory... and without fear of hammering the throttle and not killing a injector and then the rest:( Anyone grabbed a new set of those HKS Cam gears.. the new models that they are trying to sell against the Tomei?
  2. Well just off topic slightly, I have purchased some Nismo 740cc injectors for my R33, I am yet to see them yet.. I am wondering when the bloody hell they would be sent. Anyone dealt with Nengun before? how long does it normally take to get stock from them? I can't even track via EMS yet. If anyone has dealt with them let me know please how it went? Once I get them (hopefully soon) I will be installing them onto my R33 running a FMIC and Haltech ECU and Haltech Ignition Systems. Obviously I will be upgrading the pump and fuel rail to suit. Aridyne!
  3. I found that there was no significant difference excetp for a few kw.. nothing much either.. and that was between 10-12psi
  4. Yeah I am trying to find one that is in each good condition or well great condition. They are pretty hard to get used, but I can't afford to fork out over $3k just for a new HKS GT2835R, I am thinking maybe $2000 max. The HKS GT2835R has a good wrap to every mechanic I speak to and obviously to the drivers that have em
  5. There are also many variables, not just tyres.... I had only 15% tread on mine with a crap clutch. This is when I was getting 1.9s on the 60ft .. 235/45/17 running 28psi Tyre Pressure and dropping the clutch at 2500-3000rpm.. I think it also depends on the driver and how well they know they're own cars limitations.
  6. I pull constant low to mid 13's with my R33 GTST, using a FMIC, Stand alone ECU, Stock Turbo, 10psi. 178rwkw Track temp was 26-28 degrees, 60ft times around 1.95 - 2.2 depending on my launch and wheel spin. Willowbank QLD
  7. What type of larger turbo would you head towards. I am thinking a HKS GT2835R would be the ideal setep as it won't be a lag monster and will provide a good 1.2Bar of boost all the way from 3000-7000rpm from what I can work out.
  8. Its good to see some other people getting harrassed for once sorry guys.. If your game, try this one..... SLAM YA BRAKES ON.... they hit you, guess what!! Following too closely is their fault, not yours... so if they hit you well u get a nice shiny new ass thanks to the law hehe, otherwise just dial 000 (handsfree kit people). Its funny how quickly they take off when they hear the call over the radio about themselves.. Its classed as harrassment.. Otherwise as someone else said earlier, just drive into a servo or to the nearest police station and yes make a complaint when you get there.. I smell bacon, I smell pork.. run lil piggy I got a fork anymore cool stories?????
  9. Is there any major differences between the JUN/HKS/APEXI/TOMEI/GREEDY Cam Gears? Price obviously, but they all do the same job right? I just know if any are better then others for certain reasons or is it all just branding that has the price differences.
  10. I've run 15psi on the Stock turbo before with a stock ECU, I think changed to a Haltech ECU and well since then the turbo has run ever better and keep boost longer. However you dramatically shorten the life span of your Stock turbo if you run above 13psi according to my workshop. They have been doing all these runs for a while and found you could even run as high as 18psi on a stock RB25DET Turbo (6yrs old) for all of about 3 months before it just died.. As they said there are so many variable as no skyline comes into australia new, so how can we really tell how much abuse or use the stock turbo has already sustained, yes we can look at it, we can visual inspect and play with it, but its still been used different to every other turbo of the same model. Shrug...
  11. I am going to the Jamborree next weekend! Will you be there? or could we catch up somewhere I can PM you my mobile for a meeting..?
  12. I have a Haltech ECU already, I am sure this will do the job. Correct? I was just looking there too
  13. Hey guys, I am in Brisbane, if anyone has a copy they can provide for me that would be awesome, I have tried all the links provided to no avail.. let me know people if someone can provide a copy via a link. I have broadband so it shouldn't be a problem for me Cheers
  14. hey all, any of you know where to go to get a good set of injectors like 550-700cc for my R33 in Brisbane? I have looked around and can't seem to get any decent pricing, can anyone help? Cheers Aridyne
  15. I've run high 13's by just upgrading the intercooler and setting the boost to 14psi, everything else was stock. I then upgraded the ECU and took an extra .8 of my ET with a mild tune and no rubber or decent clutch
  16. Would it be wise to go to about 650cc Injectors with a new fuel rail or just upgrade the injectors? I am toying with the idea as I have upgraded the ECU to a Haltech and also recently purchased a HKS GT2530 for the turbo. I have run 13.2 on the stock turbo and I am yet to see the results with the HKS as I want to get bigger injectors first
  17. Hey people, I was reading through and well I decided to post my sheets from May along with my Willowbank run sheets. As I am a bit of a newbie go easy on my runs, they were the 1st and 2nd runs I had ever done hehehe The car I own is a R33 94 Series 1 with a ARE front mount, good decent size, Haltech ECU, Standard Turbo running 12psi, Haltech Ignition system, 3 inch exhaust and custom pod filter in front guard. Everything else is stock as except for the shoes.. they are 17" 255/45 Rears and 235/45 fronts, not much rubber left thou I have recently purchased a HKS GT2530 as the replacement for mine as I think its on its last legs. Not installed just yet, looking at new dump to match, I am also looking at upgrading to a Electronic boost controller for gear boost settings... and I do need the upgrade the clutch as it slips like a a bitch on heat. (nfi) oh yeah, I am going to get new injectors - any idea what size to go for, I am think 550 to 700cc would be ideal with a new fuel rail????? Lemme know what ya think.. Aridyne
  18. Rip a wheel off and look for a model number on the TEIN parts.. thats what I did then jumped on the TEIN website and found out what they could do. Mine are adjustable and I think most are. I have Dampening and Ride Height Adjustment.. Fulcrum Suspension centres are also helpful They were the only ones I found willing to adjust my ride height, darn car was scraping everywhere fixed now though.. I would also suggust getting your castor settings checked and leveled out, most skylines I have driven pull to the left strongly, which cause undue tire wear as well. Good Luck Aridyne
  19. I've run my Skyline up to 7500 for over 9 months now, I have had no drama's with this setting, however yes in Dyno runs I have found that there is no real power increase around the 6500 mark. I am running a Haltech E6K I think with a Stock engine and turbo along with ARE intercooler. I pulled about 187kw out of the rear wells and about 1350nm of Torque which I thought was quite high but this has been verified by two different dyno stations.. Also running the stock turbo at 14psi with a 3" Dump running into a Apexi 3.75 cat back exhaust.. (yes it scraps everywhere). I did a recent check and found compression to be around 135-150 over all 6 cylinders.. I have been told this is about right for a skyline, I dunno? shrug I think that a GT2540 would be great to upgrade to with new 700+cc injectors with fuel rail and pump to be upgraded as well. What ya think? do you think a new Cam gears would be wise too? Aridyne
