  1. Hi i'm keen for one too if it's under $500 shipped.... if the supplier is able to ship one to Auckland, NZ......
  2. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=53938423 $750 with 6months warranty......... how do i differentiate between good/sh!t turbo? Let me rephrase about the 500hp..... will this turbo be able to handle 500hp? coz it's rated at 650 hp.... forget about all other things for the moment.....
  3. Hi, just wanna know whether a turbo with following spec would be good for my R33 RB25DET: Compressor wheel major diameter 84 Compressor wheel minor diameter 56.5 exhaust wheel major diameter 73.8 exhaust wheel minor diameter 58 Compressor A/R 0.5 Turbine A/R 0.84 Flange dimensions 86*44.5 lubricant inlet 3/8" lubricant oulet 2-M8*51 bearing system 2 floating cooled by oil My Question: Would that turbo fit into my std. manifold? At what rpm would it start to build up boost? Is it safe to achieve my 500hp at the crank with that turbo?
  4. Well i don't know how to explain it, but it was proven on the dyno sheet...... that comment was from the mouth of ex Nissan & Top Secret Japan mechanic....... surely he has quite a lot of knowledge..... I also noticed that on cold night the boost goes up.... (i.e normally runs at .5bar <4500rpm and .6bar >4500rpm to .75bar>4500rpm)......... Maybe something to do with denser air on cold nights per square inch? he basically just said that upgrading intercooler to front mount will give ~10rwkw, and exhaust also gives ~10rwkw...... He just mentioned that larger exhaust pipe means that the exhaust gas can flow faster and therefore increase the turbine speed, which in turn will increase boost.......
  5. my mechanic who used to work for top secret and Nissan Japan reckon that my stock SII R33 turbo would still be safe at 1 Bar....... I've ran mine up to 1.1-1.2Bar and it's still in one piece currently running at 0.8 bar tho for longevity........
  6. um dude, i think something is wrong with your engine.... have u done compression test on it? coz my R33 RB25DET did 163.8 rwkw with just a pod filter (everything else stock)..... then by putting splitfire triple plat plug and SAFCII (untuned) i got it up to 170rwkw..... then with a 3.25" catback exhaust (and jst replaced the cat with a straight thru pipe) i've got it up to 180.9rwkw..... on the 163.8 rwkw run, boost was 7.1psi <4500rpm, then >4500rpm it went up to 8.6psi... and from the latest run i think peak boost was at 9.1psi. I haven't physicaly done anything to alter the boost. According to my mechanic, larger exhaust pipe = faster flow of exhaust gas = more turbine speed = more boost . With FMIC and some kind of aftermarket ECU i'll be expecting somewhere around 200+rwkw....... on a stock turbo that is..... i'll post the dyno graph when i can find it...
  7. hey man, the sample is in page 4 &5 (i think). just flick back a few pages, and you will find it there
  8. the rear would fit, but the front might need a 3mm spacer....... (if yours is a TypeM), otherwise it wud be just straight fit (non-type M)
