  1. You need to talk to the admin about those type of things, we don't have control over that. all we know/care about is if you want to come to an event anybody is welcome to do so

I have seen motorbikes turn up to a cruise and they were welcomed because the more the merrier

Sorry mate, I think I was taking this a little off topic. I guess what I am saying is a bit of a philosophical topic.

I agree that its great that anyone can join SAU and join these cruises. Hopefully I can attend myself!

  2. I'm very interested to know what is going to happen when people start to buy the local sold Infinitis and that the "Infiniti Skyline" is actually going to be a thing. In the constitution it is considered that anything with a "Skyline" badge is a skyline, so this could cover Prince, Nissan and Infiniti. But at what point does the V-series crowed just become the Infiniti crowd?

Damn you Nissan for complicating things!

  3. Posted in 'the gallery', but didn't receive any responses, so guessed that i had posted in the wrong thread... Just picked up a V36 370 a couple of weeks ago. Finally decided to replace my 4door R32 GTSt. It is the 'S' variant, and very happy with it (apart from the Japanese GPS of course). Shopped around for a bit before buying from Road and Track at Silverwater. Great to deal with, and the car came with de-registration certificate from Japan, giving me some piece of mind as to legitimate kms (apparently a common issue from what I had been reading). Sorry, only took basic shots at my place with a camera phone. BTW the rear wheels aren't not quite as low as they look; the positioning in my driveway is causing that! Loving the car, and looking forward to the next Sydney Skyline cruise.

Dat Grille! Although I'm probably a bigger fan of a body colour painted version with unblackened badge, but still that looks sick.

  4. I'd love a set of those myself, all I can find however are the infiniti branded ones from the US. There are usually plenty of those but I'm guessing it would be pretty difficult and expensive to ship here. I would just swap the caps to Nissan though.

And yeah, curb damage seems to be a popular theme with this car lol

  5. So when I bought this car, the guy was saying that included in the price was these none standard wheels. Fair enough, they do look better than the stock standard ones I thought and I went with it. But are these even OEM 350GT wheels?

This is what I found for stock wheels for the 350GT

    This is what I have

So by the looks of it, the couple only had 18" and 19" wheels, the sedan had 16", 17" and 18".

They look decent but why are they only 17"? They appear to be genuine Nissan, maybe from a Maxima or something? I cant find them anywhere.

I'll have to check but I think they are 215 front 235 rear. Seems like a downgrade and a rippoff.

  6. As some of you may know i attempted to put a VQ25DET from a stagea into my 250GT. Well it didnt work for various reasons. So now when people say "oh stageas and skylines are the same only one is a wagon and one is a sedan" - its a load of crap. The only thing they really share is the front doors, windscreen, dash and other little bits, the rest is either slightly different or totally different.

So we ended up cleaning out the plenums and intake, new spark plugs and other bits aswell. Got some V35 forged rays factory tick option wheels. NOTE: these are not 350Z wheels.

I also put on a aero bumper.

    Big thanks to Scotty aswell!!

I can't wait to see that painted. That is going to look rediculously good.

Very nice work mate, I think Nissan should have chosen that for the front end of the sedan to begin with. Perhaps looks even better than the coupe.

  7. Hi all

I'm getting this strange noise that sorta sounds like a plastic peg hitting concrete. Sounds like it is coming from the driver's side wheel arch.

It's not a constant sound like a pebble in the tire but tends to happen at low speeds and when the car is accelerating or decelerating.

I actually hit something on the road a few months back, what ever it was grabbed onto the flange that connects the Y-Pipe and the rest of the exhaust. It pulled it back at least an inch which completely destroyed the vibration absorbers. Long story short I have a new exhaust from the Y-pipe (the guy saved that and just fitted new absorbers).

So now I'm thinking I also f**ked something in the suspension, anyone heard this sound before?
