The time has come for me to sell my 1994 R32 GTR V-SPEC.
Year: 1994
Make: Nissan
Model: Skyline R32 GTR V-SPEC
Colour: KL0 Spark Silver Metallic
Odometer: 55xxx kms
Price: 50,000 AUD
Location: Perth, WA
This is a February 1994 V-SPEC, the last of the V-SPEC 1s before the V-SPEC 2 was introduced in March 1994 (V-SPEC 1 #1352 of 1396).
Reason for sale – I bought this car 7 years ago, before marriage and children. Unfortunately, as much as I’d love to keep it as a future collectable, it just doesn’t work as a second family car. In my time of ownership I think I would have done less than 6,000kms.
Recent service – by August 2018 the car had sat for 18 months while I built a new house. I took it to Galvsport here in Perth for a full service. In addition to the usual engine oil / gearbox oil / sparkplugs, I had the injectors cleaned, a bunch of fuel hose / wastegate hose / steering hose replaced and dump pipe re-wrapped. The entire rear subframe was also removed so that all subframe bushes could be replaced along with gearbox crossmember bushes, wheel alignment done, etc. New Optima D34 dry cell battery was put in the car last month.
Modification list, some done by me and some done by prior owners:

Hey mate. They're 18x10.5 +11 and +12 (can't remember which is front and back lol)

So i spent some time tonight moving the now largely useless loom from the passenger side engine bay into the gaurd.
This connector was part of it. Does anyone know what it does? Does it need to be plugged in?
Seems to lead to the wheel hub. Is it an abs or awd thing?
I looked this up at one point on my own car and yes I'm fairly sure it was the abs sensor

Still for sale

Video of the run, about 8 sec by the looks
Sounds yummy Great result!
Where are you getting it tuned these days? Need to find somewhere decent to go once I finish building my house and get my car back from storage.

I have a rollcage for R32 GTR that I was going to put into my car but never got around to it and unlikely to do so in the future.
99% sure it was a Cusco rollcage but can't be sure as when it was recently repainted all the stickers were removed during the sanding process.
It was blue, repainted it black so it's less conspicuous. Now not using.
Great condition, all the bars included obviously but you'll need to buy new bolts/nuts.
$600 in Perth, WA.

How'd you go with this/?

Car is back in for surgery, some fuel issues are being sorted, . Fuel Rail is fitted, 8374 has been mocked up. They need to make some piping changes. Fuel Pressure Reg is fitted and then plumb up the fuel lines. .
The surge tank was getting very hot. The mechanic is on to it and the changes should address this problem.
Going to have a Crank trigger kit installed, going with the Kulig trigger kit with the Ati balancer, I think this should have been done with the 3.2 build, but better late than never.
Just want it finished off this time and looking forward to having the 8374 in there, have a feeling this turbo change will be the final mod to get the result I want
Will be a good driving comparison between the PT6266 Gen 2 and the BW EFR8374 as far as earlier response and transient response goes. Not sure if the Dyno Graphs will tell the story ??
Fingers crossed it all turns out how you want Pete
Do you have any more detail on the 'Kulig trigger kit'?

Good question
We (Brian and I) waste our own money on mods for the car.
anything donated on the mycause page goes to the charity at the start of the rally
Very good! Good on you both
-
Forgive my ignorance, and perhaps for playing devil's advocate....but how do these donated monies get to the kids? Seems like you're spending (wasting?) it all on mods and paint jobs?

I can confirm the WA based R34 I mentioned earlier currently produces 650hp at the rears.
RB26 with GTX3584RS .83 making 485kW at the rear wheels running E85 on 24psi boost. Currently produces peak boost at 4800rpm but expecting this to improve via cam timing adjustments and further tuning.
Combo' has more in it but power capped due to concerns over gearbox longevity - it's a track car.
Did he say which shop's dyno this was on?
-
This thing still in the build?

Hey mate - try contacting Jesse Streeter. He's an aussie living in Japan. I reckon he'll get you your seats delivered to the USA way cheaper than you'll get off here.

In terms of looks, nostalgia etc, R32 always.
Yeah sorry, that's what I meant, not chassis engineering

SPOON Rigid Collars for the rear,
I had these fitted in recent days (did not get an alignment, this will be done when all the new arms are fitted) and I can say I'm extremely happy with the result.. A few problems have been fixed by fitting these including backlash from the rear subframe.
I will be getting the front set in the near future to have everything 110% straight.Nice one, did these fix your issue with the wheels poking out 3-4mm to the left?

R33 chassis is better than the R32. You can see the improved structural and aero bits. In hindsight, I should've waited a year and bought an R33 GT-R lol.
You would be in the minority to pick an R33 GTR over an R32 GTR..
-
I had this issue, fitted some lower offset rims to my R32 GTR and immediately noticed that one side stuck out further than the other. Dropped the subframe out, replaced with solid alloy mounts which fixed it to some degree. Then installed adjustable lower LCAs which really only needed a couple of mm adjustment on one side, now got it looking sweet. It's a pain to fix but you can get it done if you're that anal, like me.

Geoff, has there been an update to the software aswell or hardware only?

I believe this is the one that Andrew Hawkins from Motive DVD is fitting to his R32 GTR so could see some RB26 results soon.. ?

Because total power is not just about what airflow the turbo can provide.
Fair to say 6L will make more power than a 1L yes? Adding the same turbo to each doesn't magically mean the 1L will now make the same output as the 6L.
So I'm surprised a 2L will make the same/more than a 2.6L with the exact same turbo.
Then again were talking 80s engine vs much newer design...
Pretty sure you'll find posts on here (in the original EFR thread, in fact) that suggest that an increase in displacement will typically shift the power curve to the left, not offer you additional top end power.
