  1. Car is still here, still slowly ticking things off the list, fuel line is sorted for now, just going to run standard injectors and rail for the meanwhile , then either go for a top feed setup with 666cc injectors or cut the ends of the standard rail and weid an fitting on and put sti yellow injectors (really cheap here in nz and bolt and plug straight in as i've been told) had another go at tig welding, welded the throttle cable bracket together, my tig welding is slowly getting there, love it so much more than the mig. still need to make up a proper bracket due to i just welded the old shitty one the old owner must of made up to a 4mm thick plate with a few holes in it Got around to heat wrapping the downpipe and wastegate pipe, just makes everything look so much cleaner Air temp sensor fitting and bov adapter welded on to the intercooler pipe by a friend now the piping is all done. heater lines are all hooked up and ready to go. alternator is all mounted, for some reason i've misplaced a box of parts it seems like it, can't find the radiator lower mounting bushes, alt adjuster bolt, shit loads of nuts and bolt, so had to go buy new parts or make stuff up knowing my luck ill finish the car and find all of them in the most stupidest spot. im at the stage of sending the car away to wiring but cant at the moment because the wife need a new car, so once that over it can be sent off but while i wait i've just been touching up the small things eg wipers, painting parts/wheels, mounting overflow bottle etc...
  2. Little update. been busy cleaning and painting parts, has been hard painting with the bad weather we have had over the last week here in rotorua made up the wastegate plum pipe today. nice and easy slowly been ticking things off the list, wastegate done, o2 sensor port done, intercooler piping done, paint all front arms done, just need to find a set of injectors still unsure on what to run or to go top feed. after months of looking i finally got my hands on the wiring harness for the starter and alternator ( also does oil pressure sensor) first attempt at tig welding dont jude
  3. Its getting so close, just got a few thing i want to tidy up then i can send it to the auto sparky and get the wiring done. To do... wastegate pipe, i'm thinking about running it the full length of the car and having it come out next to the exhaust. Fuel injectors / fuel lines alternator power steering rack / lines apart from the to do list i haven't been doing much on the car, made a few workbenches, painted the front control arms, waiting for the intercooler pipes to come back from the engineer.
  4. Thanks Timmy, yea will be track car / weekend cruiser
  5. thought id replace the front lower ball joints today, got them pressed out then noticed the power steering rack boot and a some out coming out of it, so i decided id have a look at the boot and could this now got to track down a new rack. would anyone know if a r32,r33,s14,s14 rack would be the same as a c33
  6. Hey all Ive got a c33 laurel, would anyone know if a r32,r33,s13 or s14 power steering rack would fit my c33?
  7. I've still been mucking around with the exhaust system, still got to plum the wastegate pipe in, but the main exhaust is done its all welded up and just waiting for the paint to dry. I finally got my hand on a oil filter stud, nissan here in Rotorua, New Zealand have no idea what the are doing half the time, had to find the part number my self so now i've gotten rid of the factory oil cooler and will be running an aftermarket 10 row cooler
  8. Cheers for that Ad's that would be great if you could
  9. Hey all would anyone know the nissan part number to the oil filter stud
  10. Yea should hopefully sound great might be a little to loud tho. I know lol, i feel the same away and i'm the one building it Got a bit board last night (waiting for vband clamps) thought id made up a side exit exhaust

  13. Cheers for that, i've been doing some research into its aswell and have come across the same thing 1 plug is tps and the other one is used for throttle fully open and throttle fully closed.
  14. Exhaust pipe final arrived on friday 3 meters of 3'' aluminized tube, 2x 3" 45 bends, 2x 90 bends and 1x donut BUT ......................... our storeman unloaded the tube off the truck and forgot where he put it then drove the forklift into it yay right in the middle as well
  15. Been slow on a few updates, had to upgrade daily run about (Spent to much $$$$$) But had to get a new wiring loom due to the old one had been chopped only problem i had come across was the tps plugs, old loom had two plugs going to the tps sensor and the new loom only has one also finally got an ecu will be running a link G4+ plug and play, got all the extras as well, air temp sensor and electronic boost controller which the ecu will controller
  16. Body will stay as is nice and clean, just need to find a new front bumper thats uncut. unsure on the holset, if i made 250 kw id be happy. will be changing to solid subframe bushes.
  17. So I've never Really been a big fan of nissans wasn't really my thing. then one day my friend wanted to leave his a31 at mine for a bit while he moved houses, being the nice person i am i said not a problem. It sat around for a few weeks so i decided to take it down the road, soon as that happened i fell in love with it. it just sat there for a few more week, then i decided to be cheeky and ask if he would sell it, few minutes latter i got a reply sure. next day the money was in his hand. (wasn't the cleanest a31 out) As I started tiding it up then found that much rust on the body and chassis rails it wasn't worth the hassle tiding up. the motor, gearbox, hubs etc were still in great conditions so i thought i would just find a body and put it all in to that. Found a really tidy C33 body from a client at work and brought that, then started putting all the good parts onto it First thing i swapped over was the 5 stud and 4 pot brakes, while i had the hubs off i put new bearing in them all time to give the motor a good clean, paint and service (timing, seals etc..) had to get rid of the stupid cut and shut inlet manifold someone had made up [/ managed to get a Front facing plenum and throttle body adapter got to love Saturday delivery Got a New steering wheel, 2 fan mounting kits, clutch tool, fuel rail adaptor, another 10'' fan and a 2 core ally radiator Alloy radiator fitted new stream tube manifold finally arrived after it somehow ended up going all the way to Christchurch but it finally is here hopefully have it on the motor on Sunday and maybe just maybe have the motor back in as well. Haven't really been able to work on the car due to the lack of daylight after work and plus i haven't set up power in the workshop too (just been lazy) but not really much left to do on the motor just have to install 2 helicoils due to the tread being stuffed on two exhaust stud holes, who ever done it before used silicone to hold the studs in Finally got the motor in today had to grid the R/H engine mount bracket down due the the new exhaust manifold wouldn't clear it, found that the L/H engine mount thread on the studs were stuffed so had to clean that up before anything went in. next thing will be to clean up the engine wiring loom now and finish rebuilding the 25 big box (will post photos of it getting rebuilt soon), put the gear box in and mount the intercooler piping So been a bit of a fun weekend got the gearbox mounted up only problem I've got now is that i don't have a gearbox cross-member to suit a c33, r32 and a31 don't fit they are way to short . will just be using a RP71C gearbox while I rebuild the 25 big box finally got some wiring sleeve so now i can start making the new wiring loom, going to move it so it come out of the aircon pipe hole keep the engine bay looking clean and plus manged to get a new turbo aswell Another little update Engine Wiring loom is coming along really well, just hit the speed bump of what ecu am i going to run or get the factory one chipped and tuned, leaning towards a megasquirt ecu at the moment. Finally tracked down the right gearbox crossmember, so thats on its way and hopefully have that in on saturday. And got all new adjustable arms and rear subframe lock kit
  18. Both are s1 rb25det looms First picture is the 1x 3pin tps plug and the 2nd picture is of the other loom with 2x 3pin tps plug. there are no wires cut in the loom
  19. Has anyone ever come across a 3wire tps sensor for a rb20/25 before? I've got a rb25det loom and its just got 1 three wire plug and there is no 2nd plug never seen its before and ive been googling the hell out of it and can't find anything
  20. Can I use a rb25de s1 loom on a rb25det s1, do I need to change anything or does it plug straight in?
  21. Has anyone got a picture of where all the plug on a rb25det wiring loom go. Or could tell me where these go?
  22. Yea its a tricky one Ive been told that you can lean the motor over to get a little to get a little more clearance, or cut a little bit out of the manifold
  23. Hey all i've put a ffp (greddy style) on my 25det thats in my c33, i've come across a problem with the clearance between the ffp and clutch master cylinder and seen in photo, has anyone come across this before and if so how did you resolve the problem?
