hmmm... Its a fact that anything black will absorb heat easier and not dissapate it as fast, however, im not sure how much power you would lose. tube and fin... im not sure, but u usually get wat u pay for with intercoolers. under the intercooler piping is also a good question. cant help you there, im interested in this also.

i have been long looking up this. A standard plenum modified will lean out on cylinders 1 & 6. but i believe this would only be an issue in high flowing applications.
this is the latest plazmaman plenum for the RB25det and autostyle claim to have gotn 208rwkw with exhaust and 12psi.
i believe the main benefits of an aftermarket planem are
-less heat
-less piping
-greater volume of inlet manifold
-smoother airflow
there is no doubt in my mind any plenum modification/upgrade wouldnt give more horsepower over the factory item. but at the cost of reliability???

can u physically remove the hicas or only put a brace accross it?
-
some skylines GTST (not sure which option) came with a factory fitted strut brace. it was visible from the boot because it was built in. an aftermarket one however will come out through the pracal tray ie visible from the outside back window.

hmm. yer my alpine 6x9's wont even fit like that. new pracal tray this weekend.
-
hmmm interesting. anyone else seen any setups?
-
I was wondering if anyone here has 6x9's in there parcal shelf and what modifications they had to get to fit? im on the border line of deciding wether to make a new parcal shelf which is thicker, and lift the 6x9 higher so it doesnt hit the shelf. please help! if u have 6x9's can u post a photo please?
-
It comes with standard 6inchs. i removed all the side plastics in the back to remove the parcal shelf. this way u do not have to bend it. im having trouble getting speakers in at the moment because my 6x9's dont sit in the standard holes correctly. think im goin to make a new parcal shelf, if i do, will post photos.

hey folks,
On a bit of a highway trip a week or two ago, abour 40 minutes into it i realised that i was holding about 30-60 degrees to the right to keep the car straight, sure enough just as i realised the warning light came on. kept goin for another ten or fifteen problems then pulled over. after turning the car off and on it came good. does anyone know wat could have happend?

i believe if u remove the shroud your thermo fan will be less inclined to suck air through the radiator and will merely sick it in from the sides or around the back of the core. shrouds make quite a bit of difference i believe...

G'day
I ran a 13.9 with a stock standard skyline and 12 pound of boost. no weight reduction, no exhaust, and $15 205's which REALLY didnt cut it. oh, and VISHES, running street tyre pressure is absolutely crazy. my first run i was, and was spinning third gear quite uncontrollably. does anyone know a site i can upload videos? i have the 13.9 and the 15.1 (stock tyre pressure) on video and time slips. changing tyre pressures will give you large increases in traction. also, another problem is smoking the tyre to much on the line. i have talked to many drag racing professionals that believe with street tyres, its wiser to merely 'clean' them on the burnout pad before staging. let me know wat u think, cheers

can u support that? black absorbs more heat its a fact. hence, more dissapation is needed to bring temps down.
