  1. I recently replaced my head gasket, torqued the head down, fitted the cams then aligned the cam pulley marks against the back plate marks and the the crank cog mark with the nick in the aluminium plate. Every time (10 tries so far) I fit the belt, check all marks align & gently turn the engine over via the crank pulley bolt it travels about 270 degrees and locks up. It seems to be when no 1 cylinder is at TDC I've read the manual done it again and again. what the hell is wrong? Peter
