thanks fellas, you wouldn't believe it but I got one today! I've been trying to find one for weeks and this guy had THREE, my little bro tracked him down through word of mouth. no wreckers have them and nissan charge an insane amount for them (don't want to say how much as it might ruin it for others). Woohoo!

I need to know if any of the aftermarket torque split controllers operate without the need of the factory g-sensors.
Basically my g-sensor appears to be stuffed and there is bugger-all hope of finding a replacement one, so I am wondering if there is a controller that does away with the g-sensor altogether (r32 GTR) ??
Any help appreciated, am getting quite desperate now as I have to sell the car.
Thanks, Josh.

I need a working g-sensor for the 4wd system of an r32 GTR.
It's the sensor pack located behind the handbrake under the centre console.
If anyone knows if they're the same in an r33 or GTS-4 can you let me know too.
Thanks, Josh.

So that is the coil module.
Ok, I'll check that, but what/how should I check, apart from just making sure the wiring is still good with mltimeter?
Easiest would be to swap the module with another and see if it fixes the prob.
I believe they can stuff up from overheating. Once that happens you just chuck 'em and get another, shouldn't be much more than $100.

Maybe i could adjust the voltages on the q45 afm setting? Have you noticed when you select q45 on the pfc menu, and hit next again, it has options to change voltages etc..
THis is a little confusing. Hopefully I can get to a tuner asap after the modification
Yeah, just picked up my hand controller and tried to change mine over to the setting for RB25 AFM's and you hit next and it goes to the voltage screen. I was hoping you could select the actual AFM and be done with it.
Either way, I've driven mine for hundreds of kays with different AFM's and no problems so far.

You need to check the coil module (silver box at the back of the coil cover) and plug / wiring to that coil if its not the coil itself.

Good thread, was thinking of starting one myself.
Am in the process of trying to send a wing over east to someone off the forums. Made a booking with "Ezysend" last week. they have a system where you book online and a courier is automatically dispatched to pick it up the next day and it gets delivered to the door of the recipient.
Well I made a booking last thursday .....and its still sitting here!
They debited my card on monday and have been bullsh!tting me since. you cant call them, only email. each day they promise someone would turn up, then they promised they would call me and didnt.
Well, Ezysend said they would refund the money for the failed delivery but it would take the bank 28 days to process (yeah right). Anyway, been over 2 months now so I ain't getting it back.

thats the bugger that gets hot from the stereo and causes the fan to stay on full.
There should be a plug for it, failing that there are two screws holding it into the surround.
-
I went over there and burnt a CD off the server. Took 3days.

it depends what shoes you were wearing...
seriously though, I have been told by tuners that you cant work it out.
It is dependent upon too many factors like gearing etc.
Having said that your tuner can make an educated guess if hes familiar
enough with the model of car.

SOLD! err, I mean bought.
Thanks for the awesome response guys, no less then 6 were offered.
Cheers, Josh

There are shitloads more cars on the road, and swelling cities with denser housing etc.
knobs that do it in built-up areas and in traffic are causing bad publicity. Also there are heaps more young'uns with money to buy/mod turbo cars and we all know how mature the average 17yr old is (not to mention 27yr old). we also have to put up with the ever increasing trend of whacking an xhaust on whatever piece of shit someone is driving. this doesnt help the perception of speed either.
-
Does that mean you can use an RB20 and RB25 AFM together for a GTR upgrade??
ie. are they identical?
-
These seem to go pretty quickly so if anyone has 1 or 2 of these they are
thinking of getting rid of, let me know. Top prices paid! $$

Having entered a number of SES events I can only say that you have to do something very silly to have a large enough off to damage your car.
Sounds like you don't have enough power...

thanks for your help Scott, you're a good man.

Wing sold. Thankyou.

Modded cars are hard enough to keep on the road, let alone flogging them on a track etc.
I used to do MC's all the time, then bought a skyline, spent $15000 on it, still doesn't drive properly.
most people use r-specs now (whats the advantage if everyones got them ??)
and you need another set of rims to put them on.

To all you guys that use armaroil and all that crap Stop your killing your interior very slowly.
Are you talking about leather? or all the plastics aswell.
if so, then teach us Obi-wan.....

Haha, first lap in my GTR I drove it like my old rex. chucked it in the corners then mashed it. lots of smoke, sideways and s-l-o-w. at first I thought what a heap of shit, but when I backed off because of fuel supply issues my lap time dropped 2sec! got me thinking...
As for opposite lock, I dont know if i'm ever gonna master the jerky reaction impulse. Just cant seem to find the faith in an automated system. that pisses me off.

Hey, if anyone could lend me a PowerFC commander for a day or two I would love to hear from you. I believe any model will work in my 32'R except the 34GTT ones. I can try it out on the spot first to see if it works, and I'm sure I can arrange a suitable reward for such a generous person.
