  1. yep sorry new to site. Couldn't find original post thought I didn't post it properly but just found it. Trying to find stock gear locally but haven't been able to so far
  2. Hey All, I have recently bought an R32 GTR from interstate and am trying to get it registered in TAS. The car has adjustable control arms / coilovers and they are saying that they don't meet the national standards they check the cars off with now. Apparently, if I can provide evidence that Nissan or Nismo offered adjustables as an after-market upgrade, I don't need to do anything & they are ok. If I cant find something that proves this I have to either put standard set up back in, or get a modification plate. I have been advised in Tas that could take 2 months (from the guy at transport who approves them!). Really dont wanna wait that long :-/ Does anyone know if it was ever offered as an upgrade by Nissan/Nismo? & If so, how can I prove it? Any help any of you can provide would be awesome!
  3. Hey All, Finally after 10 years bought myself an R32 GTR!! :-) I bought it interstate where it had been registered, and a few things have come up on the roadworthy inspection here in tas. Rear Window tint too dark - has to be removed Battery Clamp Missing Upper Control arms /caster bushes are racing set up with coilovers fitted Battery clamp is easy, & the tint is a pain in the arse, cause I like it! but oh well. no way around it apparently. The roadblock ive hit tho is the control arms etc. Apparently, they will pass it if I can find some sort of document that shows some models were released with that set up. Any ideas on how I can find something like this? really don't want to change anything! Anyone had this problem before with inspections?
  4. Hey All, I think I need some similar advice to this post. I just bought a GTR in QLD that I have driven back to Melbourne over the last few days. I never really paid any attention to the oil pressure to begin with, but noticed today it was on zero - but the car seemed to be performing fine - great even! it did over heat on me yesterday somewhere in central NSW but it seemed fine again after a rest. I have noticed it seems to be running hot, & im not sure why. When boarding the boat we were in the waiting line with a lot of idle, stop start etc with the engine getting rather warm. The oil pressure light then came on, with it barely idling, coughing & spluttering. I turned it off for a few minutes, then it was fine again & didn't miss a beat getting onto the boat. I write this now sitting in the bar with a beer, freaking out! im hoping the oil pressure issue is related to the over heating, & that is hopefully something simple like the thermostat? The motor has been rebuilt & I have all the receipts for it, I am living in hope its not the motor... what should I be checking?
  5. Hey all, Looking for a clean GTR, Happy for mods, but not over the top crazy stuff. Have been looking on Gumtree & Carsales the last month or so.
