  1. Just got my first gtr and went to change the air filter and saw that it has oil around the rim and the air flow meters have oily residue on then and pipes leading to turbos had some oil in them . Can this cause problems with the turbos if they have been sucking in the oil??? Any help would be appreciated .
  2. Hi Looking for a fully rebuilt rb26 engine for a r33 gtr. Preferably forged top and bottom Thanks
  3. Looking at possibly importing a Gtr from Japan and wanted to know who would be the best importer to go with in Victoria ? Someone that has the car properly inspected and rated so there are no bad surprises when the car arrives. Honest and credible ? Any help would be greatly appreciated
  4. Apparently it's the emission test or IM240 test that is the biggest issue , but couldn't that be resolved if using e85?
  5. Ok thanks May be better to buy stock one and build it once registered or just buy a local one that's registered already ?
  6. Would this pasa a vic roads inspection and if not would it pass a VASS inspection. The sound coming out of exhaust is very lumpy and has a fuel surge tank in the boot ( which isn't a problem to remove if need be)
  7. Not sure what registration laws are like in NSW but be carefull as getting it registered may be a problem . I'm looking at one atm big single , lots of mods with surge fuel tank in boot , and every one I have spoken to( even race pace ) say I will need to try and get a VASS certificate as it probably won't pass a Vic roads inspection??
  8. Looking at a all round car but mainly for Street , drag and possibly on the odd occasion track.
  9. thanks to those with the constructive comments, I see that there is no one clear answer to the question , a bit like asking do you prefer a 32 or 33 , you will have differences of opinion?
  10. For performance and reliability which is better on a GTR R32 or GTR R33
  11. As stated the second post was for a different gtr thats in Thomastown , my appologies , and yes this is a nice car but when the owner took me for a drive in this gtr ( which is in airport west so yes I have seen it) he told me that he couldn't push it to hard as there was some issue with it . So just wanted to know if that had been resolved.
  12. This car was actually quite nice when I inspected it but It did have some mechanical issues at the time .
  13. Dis regard that last message it's for another car that is for sale in vic

  15. I looked at the car a little while ago , they did a comp test and told me it showed 145 psi .
  16. Have the problems with the car been sorted out?
  17. Great reply thanks. Ye I was looking at purchasing one or the other , and purely based on collectability atm ,but I'm not sure weather they are worth 10 or 30 grand more than a standard gtr or Tommy Kaira gtr ?
  18. Which one of these would you buy , the 1990 r32 gtr Nismo or 1 of 100 Australian delivered 1991 r32 gtr and why ?? Also what would each car be worth if they where both in good original condition?
  19. I have heard that the 94 r32 GTR came with the r33 Gtr motor ? Not sure if it's true or not or if there is much difference between the r32 and r33 motors?
