I found a really good way to stop the factory ecu retarding timing and running really rich when upping your boost - I took it out and threw it in the bin!

the mesh will form a bit of a restriction, but that's its job as i understand. It is there to ensure that the airflow is evenly spread over the area of the AFM. The hot wire element doesn't sense the airflow over the whole area of the AFM pipe so it reads it at the centre and i guess assumes this flow is even over the pipes area. removing it may cause less of a restriction and give you maybe 1 - 2rwkw, but in the long run, i think you A/F ratio's will be less stable due to fluctuations in the AFM's ability to measure air coming into the engine. make sense?

i have them for an r33 - are they the same?

it's also there to strighten out the airflow as it passes over the hot wire sensor - not a worthwhile mod in my opinion

is this the ame as the gtr fuel pump? Can it b used in an r33 gtst? I was looking at getting a brand new gtr pump to support 200rwkw but have found a brand new 300zx pump for less $$ and I think I've heard in the past that these are the same - Is this true???

stock turbos CAN be rebuilt - a good person in Melb. to speak to is kyp at ATP.

same reason i like the gtr pumps, straight fit and are quieter than the bosch's. You can get them second hand or there's a place in Vic which sells them brand new for $440 each. I'm getting one and I think if we were to get them together we might be able to get them cheaper. pm me if interested!

oh yeah - and as a guide, a set in very good condition should go for around $300 - 400

check on the silvia forums - should be your best bet!

nup, all 16's - same size as r33 rims. the gt spec had a polished version though
