  1. Hey guys, upgrading to hypergears ATR 45 .82 rear housing turbo and decided to go external gate. Was just wondering what size gate I should move towards ?

    Nissan r33 skyline series 2 Gtst

    Forged pistons and rods, arp head studs, head gasket, greedy FMIC, 750cc injectors, 3 inch exhaust, not sure size of fuel pump, atr45 turbo (600hp rated), Platinum pro plug in haltech ecu

    Cheers

  2. I haven't replaced the actuator yet, the plan was to go external soon so didn't see the need.

    E85 is the easiest power option, the cars driven quite frequently though so fuel economy could be an issue. With a 33 gtst would the fuel lines have to be replaced for E85 ?

    What are the potential power gains from cams, gears and external ?

  3. Going along the same lines as the NEO post, was looking at going further in my 33 and thought I'd get some ideas. Current setup;

    -Hypergear ATR43-SS2 .82 rear internally gated

    -FMIC 76mm thick

    -Power FC

    -3" turbo back exhaust (empty cat)

    -splitfires coilpacks

    -Z32 AFM

    -3" alloy intake with a pod

    -walbro 460

    -denso 550cc injectors

    -gizmo ebc

    From the top of my head.

    Tuned by Unigroup engineering at 18psi it made 255kW on pump, the actuator couldn't hold 20 properly.

    I was thinking cams(tuner recommended), cam gears and going external wastegate as the next step, alongside bumping up the boost. Wanted to get feedback and ideas, with going e85 being the last option

    Thanks

  4. Sorry to bring this thread back up guys, done a compression test by disconnecting the CAS, engine was mildly warm, water temp around 50-60 degrees and cranked the engine about 7-8 times before reading result . Results are as follows;

    167

    161

    159

    155

    164

    152

    What's everyone opinion ? And what could be the next step ?

  5. Yes.

    More oil = less chance of starvation

    Sorry to bring this thread up again, some people have been saying too much oil can cause hydro lock and that tripped me out. I put 5L all up, it is above the Full line, but is it too much or ?

    Was looking at these ones. The pads and fluid are sorted, however if the rotors aren't changed I guess they'll just sit there. Mechanic was saying they should last another track day, but not sure after that
