i am not familiR with brands mentioned so excuse my ignorence

been spending hours researching and I have seen D2 and K sport in the uk as well
D2 is 6 pot 356 for £1k and K sport is 8 pot 356.
What would you have done ? has anyone tested these k sport or d2 kits?

Interesting. These are the prices I got when looking at this option:
$350 ALPHA OMEGA Evo 350mm Brembo billet aerospace alloy caliper adapter kit
$850 Pair of Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 Brembo front calipers (used)
$120 Brembo caliper rebuild kit for one pair of calipers
$200 Brembo brake caliper rebuilding service for one pair of calipers
TOTAL = $1520
+cost of Discs and Brake lines.
I opted to go for the D2 8 Pot 356mm kit instead. Bigger, cheaper and came with everything required. (and it's all brand new)
Would you guys vote for D2 over brembo ?
-
mr funny, what is wrong with uprating it anyways ?
-
yes I am getting bigger master cylinder later.
I just want to improve it now and know my brakes can break my neck if needed
I do everything on the car myself and know it needs bleeding but hardly use the car and now want to change it anyway for above reason
I will then change the backs to 350 as well in the future
-
cool, how do you guys bleed it using abs module ?
I don't have a software that can activate it , I normally bleed, drive for few hundred miles and bleed again in hope of all air from abs is bleed that way
I went ahead and bought set of evo 9 brembo calipers, it was £450 for two calipers rebuild plus red stuff pads
it looks cheap to me, how can I ensure it is actually evo 9 calipers and it is brembo ?
The brembo logo seems to be a paint only so anyone can fake. The guys claims he has also changed all of the pistons

I can cancel it if it seems fake to you guys

I also have seen people saying ebc red stuff is bad
been asked to put ebc standard back on.
any views?

When you say custom brake lines, how do I explain this to a suplier to make it to my requirements?
I have braided lines on mine
-
I understand but I want to fix the brakes and ensure it is capable of stopping a 300rwkw car so hence the reason for my post
I was thinking to get gtr brembo caliper which are quite expensive
evo calipers are cheaper so I think it is a wise investment to change caliper and discs to evo 10
would i gain 25-30 braking power compared to original skyline?
-
Mines are 19 with offset of 40
so what I need is an evo 6-9 caliper which is designes for a 320 disc and and evo 10 disc which is 350?
-
Has anyone fit this on r34 gtt?
-
That is the typical answer!
i have and been searching, i have seen evo10 355 may fit
has anyone done it?

r34 GTT brake upgrade
Hi Guys,
I have set of EBC 310 grooved and dimpled on my r34GTT
I installed it with ebc red stuff and I have to say brake performance is fu***ing sh*t
I think my kia picanto 1 liter is better than the skyline. I also changed the fluid to dot4 racing from castrol.
My hope is that I need to bleed the system and brake is ok. I have been lazy to do it as have hardly drived the car but I am using it frequently now.
I almost crashed it another day by failing to stop. it gets very soft and goes further down when braking hard .
Anyways, whilst I am going to do the bleeding , I thought I also change the caliper and rear discs to groved/dimpled.
It is the standard size of 310 at front and 295mm at back. would you invest £600 on pair of GTR brembo or change the disc to 350mm and get evo10 caliper and disc?
I spent in excess of £400 on the disc and the pads last time.

Well what i said above was only engine
i have already spent 2.5k on 275 falken and 19 inch alloys
love it
i may forge it later hence why i am getting a 1000 cc injectors which I understand it is good for up to 1k hp
re turbo with big turbos and less boost, will you have a significant lag and sudden kick?
-
Thanks
280 at rear seems quite low
i think we looking at 330ish at rw which is around 389at flywheel
what will be your boost at that power?
would you change ur gasket?
seen manifolds costing 2k in aus dollor, isn't that high for a manifold?
-
That is the kind of power i am looking for at flywheel
i have the spitfire coils , decent coilover.
what do you mean by twi gates and twin scroll?

skyline r344 gtt 500hp
Hi Guys,
I am finally getting to tune my skyline and have a lot of work to do by researching etc
I want to gain around 500 hp form my skyline which is R34 GTT. I have done a compression testing and all cylinders where the same
I have seen posts people saying the head gasket need to be changed but also other posts saying it is fine for up to 600
what do you think ?
My budget is around 5-6k in pounds so 10k in AU dollor
I am going overkill by buying top of the range products even if not needed in case I decide to go above 500
my question is what psi would I be pushing at 500hp ? 20 or more?
so far here is what I think i should buy1. Fuel pump also not sure of the model and liter capacity. I need to research it
2. a Turbo
3. Possible a high mount manifold
4. clutch
5. gtr brembo caliper
6. link ecu with lunch control
7. 1000 cc injectors
8. boost controller
9.remap
10. get the timing spot on before doing any remaps.
11.intercooler
do I need to change anything else on fuel system ? -
Hi Guys,
I am planning to buy some 19" or 20" alloys for my skyline
It is a 1998 Gtt R34.
Looking at most websites, when you input the car details, it is returning 19" as max.
Do you know if fitting 20" is possible ?
if not, would 19"x 9.5 with 265 and 19x8.5-9 with 245 for front work ?
what are the issues with bigger wheels I should be aware of ?
I am getting a low offset ones(curved inside) . I guess clearence from suspension is important, not hitting fender and guards. what else?
does above impact handling ? Is wider alloy at back a good idea? -
R34 GTT alloy size
Hi All,
What is the biggest alloy size you have fitted on your skyline ?
I have 235 18 55 or 45 I think. I want to get a 20 inch and looking around at websites 19 inch is the max. What are the rim specs ?
Also what is the biggest tyre size you can fit in the back and the fron -
I have seen posts saying red stuff ebc are terrible and maybe why my car does not stip
-
Have all of above apart from pad and disc been ebc
-
It is ebc dimpled and grooved 310 with red stuff which was 380 pound thus around 700-800 Australian dollor
