Thanks guys!
EVL, I'll check out the Profec -A, sounds ok.
KeeFy, yeah I like the Apexi gear too, am def getting an SAFCII and wanted an e-boost controller as well, but I think the AVC-R is pretty pricey compared.
I'll see what I find!
Hi ppl,
Just hunting round for a decent electronic boost controller and at the same time not spend too much.
I was looking at the Greddy Profec B-Spec II and the Turbosmart E-Boost 2 ones. Bit pricey but hoping to maybe find S/H.
Just want to know from peoples experience which has been good for them etc.
Cheers!
Oh sorry I was only asking in regards to the other guy who had the flickering problems Thought that may have been something to look at. Man I haven't had a chance to install mine yet! Going to make up a bracket for the ballast boxes.
ABout that flickering and stuff. You know the back of the ballast bracket how there's a bolt that goes through to hold it to the ballast box, well if that bolt touches metal surfaces will it short, could that be the prob?
Hey great tute!
I have a different HID kit which I haven't installed yet. It didn't come with a ballast bracket. How else could I go about mounting it, can I insulate it or would it be best to make my own bracket up?
Also is it true that you should keep the ballast box as far away possible from the engine cause of too much heat?
Yep certainly is! and F$%ken ridiculus!! my mate got done same thing. Except oe of his park lights weren't working and that's what he told the cop. The cop acknowledged it and said "Oh I see" "But I still have to give it to you" "I'll write a note and you can complain and hopefully they'll wave it"
Big waste of time! no waving at all!
I thought though that fog lights are technically those yellow looking ones?? the ones that are on say the S2 skylines are just normal white glowing ones. So they shouldn't be regarded as fog lights? or is it the fact that they are lower on the road etc??
Hey Damono, where did you pick up the SAFCII from? was it a through a website or private sale?
I would really like to get one too, and if I can get one for around that price, laughing!
Yeah there's been a red one in Perth for ages now at Autowholesale across the road from Skippers. Should be almost if not already able to get them complianced according Autowholesale.
Depends how old you are too. Try Shannons and even HBF. I found Shannons to be the cheapest for me. The other one was Torque Underwriters, who I think you can only go to though certain brokers. Good luck!
Did they damage you car?
